Copper peptides have been enjoying more than a moment of extreme popularity, and of course that comes with both positive and negative publicity. I was kind of late to the whole GHK-Cu game, mainly because of the negatives being discussed: sticky texture and pilling, and reports of a worse skin appearance after few weeks of use. I did a ton of research, and finally started trying a few serums, and this one is one of my favorites so far.To avoid the whole "copper uglies" phenomenon, the idea is to start low and slow, ensure that you're supporting your skin barrier/hydrating skin, and consider copper peptides as incompatible with strong actives like retinoids, vitamin C, and hydroxy acids, not in a "never use them" way but in a "separate these actives from copper peptides" way. This serum is well-formulated, not only skipping any of the incompatible ingredients, but also adding barrier support like ectoin and ceramides.Then, there's the texture. This is so lightweight that it's almost watery, and it absorbs well, leaving my skin looking plump and hydrated, not coated with film. I have a GHK-Cu serum I really like but that I must use at night only, because it pills horribly and the texture gives me the ick if I'm awake to notice it. Great results, but when the texture makes me inconsistent with use, it just isn't true love. This serum has a texture ideal for layering if desired.I love that this comes in a glass bottle instead of plastic, making the outside as beautiful as what's inside, and a nod to the company caring about the quality of their products. I see this one as such a good value I'd almost call it a steal, especially considering that it is superior texture- and absorption-wise to the one for which I paid about 7x the price.

I am an avid fan of Abib's rice probiotic overnight mask for a while. Recently I've decided to give some of their other products a try, their copper peptide serum being one of them. I have not been disappointed with anything I've tried this far, but I especially like this serum. It is moisturizing, lightweight, makes my skin look radiant, and feels great! It's a great price too! I have been using it for a few weeks now and I would say it is effective at softening fine lines.It is filled with some great ingredients (I'll list below). I ran them through INCIDecoder and there are no bad ingredients. It is a fluid type serum which means it is great to wear under sunscreen without it feeling heavy, oily/greasy, or too occlusive. I live in Florida so with the opressively humid summers it is difficult to find good products to go under sunscreen.A little about my skin: I'm in my 40s with normal to dry skin, very few fine lines, and no wrinkles. I don't typically have sensitive skin, but can get sensitivity if I'm heavy handed with my tretinoin, and for whatever reason a lot of vitamin C products cause irritation. I also have a dual skin condition called sebopsoriasis (seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis) on my scalp that can extend down onto my forehead (near my hairline). They can flare up individually or together and some products can trigger a flare up. I am also perimenopausal and have been getting hormonal acne (isn't aging fun? lol). I have had no issue with this product at all and have only seen benefits when using it. I would recommend this to anyone of any skin type.

I got this to try to take advantage of the benefits for my damaged barrier, perimenopausal skin. I had been applying it at night after washing it and applying toner, and then following it with moisturizer, and I found the lightweight, watery solution hydrating for my skin overnight without being too sticky. In the mornings, my skin has continued to stay hydrated, although it would take quite a bit longer to determine if it's effective against my damaged barrier. At $16, the price isn't bad for a bottle that will last quite a while.My struggle is that I want to use vitamin C to try and improve my melasma issues, and there is a list of items that shouldn't be combined with copper peptides in order to maintain their effectiveness. So unfortunately, I won't be able to use this as often as I wanted to in order to try and correct my melasma issues. I suggest doing your research to see whether your primary products will conflict with this first.
