I had almost completely written off whey proteins after trying tons over the years. All caused bloating and stomach issues for me- I have a sensitive stomach. Like another reviewer, I had used sprouted rice protein as an alternative, which worked ok. But even with the bloating, I could always notice how much better my muscles responded to whey. Much more pumped and full looking after consistent use. Based on my research this seems to be due to Whey's high bioavailability. This protein is the only form of whey that does cause GI issues for me. It's unflavored, so I shake it up with some flavored stevia, cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt. Mixes easily. I always *chew* a snack when drinking this shake because this helps your stomach create bile, etc to digest all the protein and help reduce any GI stuff. too. Super happy I can include whey in my sports nutrition routine now. Great product.

I've been buying dymatize hydrowhey for years. I just really got sick of the flavors over time. I just couldn't stomach another breakfast cereal flavor or chocolate fudge. I've had them all. I saw this and thought to myself "I make my own ice cream, why not this?"I mix a little loranne flavor oil, a little sucralose and it tastes amazing. For a perfect strawberry milk, hershey strawberry syrup, loranne strawberry, and a tiny bit of sugar free vanilla pudding mix. Now I can have whatever flavor I want without having to go through 5lbs of a flavor I've already got sick of.I was a competitive bodybuilder, and I had to drink 100g of protein shakes a day. It's torture. I'm not competitive anymore but I still need to meet some macro goals to retain some muscle as I age. The cost of this is a bit better than a full 5lb tub of dymatize... Maybe? I didn't do the math. I emptied this bag into an empty 2lb tub of dymatize and it was just about full to the top. Definitely more than dymatize gives you. I used the old scooper from an empty bottle and weighed it. Yep. 30g on the nose. Fully packed scoop though. Keep in mind 30g of whatever brand of protein is only going to be 25g of actual protein because of all the other stuff they put in, like flavorings. This stuff, though... It SHOULD be all protein. So 30g is 30g.I don't know why people are complaining that the protein isn't clear. Did the description say that at one point? I've NEVER had a clear protein you mix yourself. I don't think it's possible. Those clear proteins you get in the bottles at the sup stores... That some kind of chemical wizardry they're doing.I didn't send this in for testing or anything to prove this is hydrowhey, BUT I've seen enough of the stuff to know the difference between hydro and plain iso. This stuff has a fluffiness to it that tells me it's the real deal.I also don't trust supplement companies. They pack their supplements with crap to save a buck all the time. They keep getting caught but they just keep doing it. I've been a part of this industry a long time and I know the snakes that run these companies. I'd at least trust bulk supplements to give me a raw ingredient without putting something else in it to save a few bucks.

This is the best deal you will find on 100% hydrolyzed whey protein.Many of the reviews here are treating this product as if it was a "protein shake mix." This is 100% protein powder with no flavors, sweeteners or emulsifiers. If you mix it with water and nothing else, you probably won't love the taste. You can certainly consume it plain, but most people will like to add some flavor.For my daily protein shake, I like to mix 16oz water, 5T Bulksupplements Pure Hydrolyzed Whey Protein, 2T cocoa powder, 2T cane sugar, 1t creatine monohydrate and 1t sunflower lecithin. The cost per serving using these ingredients is significantly lower than buying premixed hydrolyzed whey protein shakes. Hydrolyzed whey is excellent for people who have difficulty digesting dairy. I've used sprouted rice protein for years, since most whey powders don't agree with my stomach. Hydrolyzed whey is totally different though. I can take this protein twice a day without any gas, bloating or any of the other unpleasant digestive affects that whey protein can cause. (If you've ever taken whey protein and had "sticky" bowel movements afterwards, you should try hydrolyzed whey.)As far as the packaging-- I agree that the recloseable zip is awful. It might as well not even be there. That being said, this is being sold as a bulk ingredient, not a convenience product. A good solution is to reuse the container and scoop from some expensive protein powder that you purchased before you got smart and started making your own.

This protein is unflavored, which is great because the milky vanilla/chocolate/strawberry flavors can become boring quite quickly. I love adding one of those Kool-Aid powder-packets used for water to provide a variety of flavor to my protein drinks.The hydrolyzed version is only slightly more expensive than the regular isolate, which is worth the price and won't break the bank!The texture is smooth and doesn't have that milky after-taste. It reminds me of the "clear" protein powders in that regard. It mixes easily with water and you won't need to use one of those wire-ball things to keep the power from clumping.

I am obsessed with this product and all Bulk Supplement products. To look on the ingredient label and see less that this product has only three ingredients is a Godsend. I am not a fan of products with long ingredient lists or artificial flavors, especially in my supplements. With this product, I am able to have more flexibility in my protein shakes with only one product vs having to buy more than one flavored whey protein. I have the flexibility to make tropical protein shakes, chocolate + pb, without have to buy more than one product. Texture is great and I really appreciate the amino acid/protein quality and breakdown on the bag.
