I had never heard of MSM but a friend of mine kept harping on me to try it as I have joint pain as well as severe allergies. I don't know if it would help someone trying to grow hair back that they lost through balding but it certainly has helped my hair to grow longer and thicker. My hair has grown at least two inches in just the five weeks I have been taking this supplement and that, in itself, is a reason to keep taking it. It may help a lot with several issues and it doesn't have any side effects. But it totally does help hair growth. My nails also seem to be growing faster and are harder. My hair usually grows highly, very slowly. We'll see. I also have been in less pain but I will wait a while to claim this is the reason. They cause no side effects that I can discern. I will have to continue talking this for several weeks to be able to say for sure that it helps joint pain and allergies. As far as joint pain, I haven't has as much neck pain as usual but I can't tell for sure if it is this MSM or just a coincidence. I have severe allergies and my companion says these help her a lot. No stomach upset or anything else. I was afraid to take a sulfur compound but did my research and it is a very safe supplement. I am hoping to see improvement over he long haul in joint pain as well as allergies. The pills are pretty big, white and oval. At first, I didn't see any improvement in anything. One a day is all that is needed. My buddy suggested this company after having tried a number of others. I see no reason why you shouldn't take this Doctors Premier Best MSM. My allergies, too, have been a bit better but who knows if it is supplement or just timing. I am going with 4 stars for now because I can see the improvements in my hair and nails and maybe a bit in my skin as well. It was inexpensive so I figured I would give it a shot. They don't have an odor. You even can take it if you are allergic to sulfur antibiotics as it is unlike kind of sulfur that our own bodies make. Since it is safe to take, doesn't interfere with any medications, and has no side effects, I am going to continue to take these pills and see what happens. But I did notice my hair was growing super fast and was much stronger than usual after a scarce weeks. I have been taking these daily for about five weeks. That is excellent for me since I do have a thyroid issue which can cause my hair to be narrow and break.

My CRP, which is a blood marker for inflammation was 35 (should be below 10) . I ordered this and began taking 3-4 capsules a day and although that helped, it wasn't adequate so I kept increasing it until I was at 9 a day (3 capsules 3 times daily). I couldn't get an appointment with a Rheumatologist for 4 months so I decided to do a little research and see what was out there for natural pain relief.

Excellent piece!! Now it does take at least a week before you notice anything and upwards of a month to two months for it to really do its job due to the lack of the human body not having a direct blood flow to your joints. And of course do not take if you are allergic to shellfish. Only take two twice daily with food and don't over take these or you will have an uncomfortable feeling in your joints(I've done it/not fun). (which is why people obtain the economical glu/chon hcl mix and it doesn't work for them). I've been using it for years and it's helped tremendously. You do have to take 4 a day and they are pretty large but after a month or so when your joints start to feel enhanced you can bring it down to three or possibly two (unless the pain, clicking, grinding, etc, returns) for cost reasons. This product uses the easily obsorbed sulfate glucosamine and chondroitin rather of the cheaper hydrochloride (hcl) which your body cannot assimilate effectively.

Lately I've been having gut issues including acid reflux, bloating, indigestion etc. Also make sure to get some l glutamine, aloe Vera gel, and zinc carnosine to help attack your gut issues at the source and heal them. But do your research and only take this with meals where there is PROTEIN as this will help break them down properly. After doing some research I decided to buy this. These won't heal your gut but they are a good supplement to take while you are in the process of healing and make digesting food so much easier. When I eat certain meals I notice I get full really speedy then the other symptoms follow. I took it with my first bite of breakfast and feel fine!

This is a branded form of MSM, OptiMSM. Once a day is sufficient during the initial loading phase (2 or 3 weeks), and 3 times a week is adequate for a maintenance dose after that. Results will be happier joints and more elastic skin.
