I'm studying neuroscience at Tulane U so I bought this product after learning about the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, hoping it would increase the acetylcholine concentrations in my brain. Acetylcholine is important for learning (Look up long term potentiation) as well as sleeping/dreaming. This product definitely helps both. From the first dose I took I felt like my mind was more *on* and that I was more mentally present. I was able to stay engaged in class and took better quality notes and was able to learn things quicker when I studied new Topics for the first time. Homework was less of a chore.I have to do a lot of intense studying and drugs like adderall are commonly used by my peers. I avoid them because daily stimulants only work for a short time before the quality of your sleep and waking mental state deteriorate. However alpha GPC improves the quality of your sleep. I had more vivid dreams and woke up feeling more rested. I don't want to say this is some panacea but I have yet to find a downside to this product. It does make you more tired at night, but this makes sense because of the higher quality work your mind did during the day. And of course, you need to sleep to let your mind fully process the memories you made all day long.Bottom line: if you're looking for a mental boost and you already found your way to this product, go ahead and try some.

First off i wanna say that I have been using doublewood products for years. Always have been a superior product on the market.Todays order arrived to my front door a couple hours after i had placed the order. Now i know that credit need to go to Dropy. But thats only half the work, doublewood needs to make sure the supply locations are stocked so they can turn around their great products. If you havent tried anything from doublewoood, i would definitely recommend you give them a try. I know you will find that doublewoods quality is far superior to any competitors.

I have been doing a lot of research of various health supplements claiming to give you a cognitive boost or an increase in energy/motivation. Last year, after leaving my doctor's office, I decided that I had had enough of being a pharmaceutical lab rat. My detailed prescription print out listed 14 medications that my doctor thought was a good idea to combat interstitial cystitis (aka painful bladder syndrome), insomnia, anxiety, & menstrual migraines. I had always been fairly thin my entire life until I began taking those prescriptions. I put on 60 pounds in less than 2 years. I decided to ditch the meds and find a more natural way to combat the symptoms I was having. I started eating a low carb/extremely low sugar diet and taking MCT oil, Lion's Mane, K2/D3. I felt an immediate positive change in my energy levels with the MCT oil, but that quickly declined after a couple of weeks. After more research, I found out that 90% of the American population was deficient in choline. Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine (a very important neuro-transmitter). I have felt a very positive cognitive enhancement and mood lift since I started taking Alpha-GPC! I take 2 in the morning with an electrolyte beverage and MCT oil/coffee and after 15-30 minutes I can definitely feel the positive effect it has on my brain and mood. Everyone's body and chemical make up is different so you might have to tweak your supplemental regimen to fit your specific needs, but there's no harm in trying the Alpha-GPC to see if it works for you. I would also like to add that since I have stopped taking the prescriptions I have lost 65 pounds, the headaches and anxiety are gone, and the painful bladder syndrome no longer presents any symptoms. I am by no means saying that anyone should stop taking their prescriptions, however, I am saying that doctor prescribed medications can sometimes do more harm than good for your body. Do your research and find out what is best for you because most of the time there is more than one solution.

Very pleased with double Wood vitamins. I especially like the alpha gpc. I can tell an improvement in my memory, since I have been taking it.

Everyone is different, here is my experience. Have taken 1 capsule daily in mornings for over a week. Reason for taking: Although not yet proven, I thought it probably would not hurt and may help offset the anticholinergic effects of allergy meds I have taken for years. The main thing I noticed and did not expect was my energy levels & mental focus are both greatly improved, but the flip side is I have been having difficulty getting to sleep and my deep sleep cycle has been reduced dramatically, I am also sleeping much less than usual. My daytime energy has still been ok though, but after a week on this stuff the lack of sleep is getting to me. I have energy, but getting tired from the lack of sleep. It is hard to explain.To be fair, my husband has been coughing a lot through the night with a cold, but I normally can sleep through some noise, and (more significantly) I am still waking up even when he is quiet & my mind just goes nonstop. My conclusion is that this stuff is too stimulating for me. I stopped taking today and energy dropped like a rock and now I am fighting taking a nap. I need to see if I sleep better tonight. If I am correct & after stopping these I can catch up on sleep then I may try a 1/2 capsule daily, or maybe every other day or so.Overall I think it is a good and probably effective product (I mean how do we really know what it is doing to our brains!?) I do think it may just be too strong for some people like myself.
