Freeda Health has been in business since 1928, "manufacturing high quality vitamins and nutritional supplements for over 90 years" according to their website. It is a family business based in New York, continuing to be run by relatives of the original founder. They appear to use a contracted manufacturer in an unstated location (the label says "Manufactured for: Freeda Health", rather than "manufactured by"), but a logo does indicate that it is made in a "certified GMP facility" (Good Manufacturing Practices, an FDA inspection program).In addition to being available online, their products are currently carried in-person in dozens of local stores; most are in NY and NJ, a few are in other states. The label includes a retail UPC code, the lid is safety-sealed, and the bottom of the bottle has a printed lot number and expiration date. (The one I received is good till 11 months in the future.)The bottle label also has a kosher logo, and lists eight things that none of their products include ("no gluten, no lactose", etc). Their website provides an even more comprehensive list of stuff they don't use, with 23 things listed: "No Aluminum, No Dyes, No Meat, No Sulfates, No Artificial colors, No Eggs, No Milk, No Sulfites, No Artificial Flavors, No Fish, No Preservatives, No Talc, No Aspartame, No Gelatin, No Casein, No Wheat, No Yeast, No Gluten, No Starch, No Whey, No Dextrose, No Lactose, No Sugar."I previously used a different glucosamine+MSM supplement which has 1500 mg of glucosamine and 1500 mg of MSM in each 2-tablet serving. This Freeda product instead has 1500 mg of glucosamine and 750 mg of MSM in each 3-capsule serving. These 750 mg capsules are definitely easier to swallow than the other product's 1500 mg tablets, but I do notice a little more benefit from the other product's higher dose of MSM.

A must have for joints. I feel so much better with these for my knees. No after taste. Great ingredients and kosher! East to swallow and great price. I've brought multiple bottles.

I have been taking Glucosamine few many years to try and hold off arthritis in my hip and shoulder. I have experienced success so I continue taking it. I normally just take Glucosamine Sulfate and skip the other ingredients added in some blends. I tied this Glucosamine with MSM on a recommendation from a physical therapist who said it might be more effective. I did not realize that this was a vegan product when I ordered it and it did not seem to make a difference. I got the same results with this supplement as the other non vegan tablets the I have used for years.I personally did not notice a difference in symptom management with the added MSM. It was a little creepy to read what was not in this blend. It is free of gluten, lactose, artificial colors/flavors, sugar, starch, animal derivatives, yeast, and gelatin. The creepy part was going back and reading the ingredients in the glucosamine supplements that I have used in the past and sure enough most of them and 2 or more of those ingredients. I do not why they add that junk when it is not necessary and a quality supplement can be made without it.My overall opinion of the Freeda Vegan Glucosamine with MSM Supplement is positive. It is a little more expensive than I normally pay, but in cases like this sometimes what is not in a supplement is just as important as what is.

A life changer.Before taking these, I could manage my hip pain during the day, but at night I would constantly wake up in pain. Now, I can sleep through the night. My range of motion has greatly improved and I'm looking forward to riding my mountain bike again. I love that these are vegetarian friendly and from the USA; I take with food and it doesn't upset my stomach. If you're a smaller build, you may be fine with just one per day in lieu of the three recommended.Update four months later: Even more improved mobility and pretty much pain-free during the day and at night. These are a game changer and I highly recommend them. Before taking these, I thought I would be on the list for hip surgery, but now I can hopefully not need that.

This company is truly one of the better ones I have found in regards to clean vitamins. They cater to those who have allergies and/or intolerance issues and offer fantastic products that help everyone stay healthy. This particular vitamin is for joint health, which we desperately need in our home. I have taken various different products over the years, some working better than others, and I have to say this is by far my favorite. I have seen notable improvement when compared to other products I had been taking previously. The pills are on the larger side, and recommended dose is 3x a day, though I typically can scale back to 1 a day when the weather is decent, and increase to the suggested dose on days with more precipitation. When taking these, I have taken them with food so I haven't had any kind of upset stomach or other reactions. They are easy to swallow and don't get caught in my throat. I did compare the dosing with my previous vitamins, and this one is a lot higher, so that is why I chose to scale back, and that also allows this to last me longer. I definitely suggest trying the various amounts to see what works best for you as we all are different. Overall, I really like this product and would highly recommend it to others.
