Trying this HERBAMANA Gynema Sylvestre for the blood sugar benefits. I've heard the nicknames of "sugar buster" and "destroyer of sugar", and my interest was piqued. As I've passed into menopause I've been having a difficult time with sweets cravings and insulin resistance. I'm just a couple of points shy of being pre-diabetic, even though I generally eat low- to no-carb, and that frightens me, so this supplement is something I'd like to experiment with. I'm also hoping it will help reduce inflammation. I feel safe experimenting with HERBAMAMA products because they are made in the USA as opposed to overseas.I was confused by the sweet taste at first, as Gynema Sylvestre is known to reduce the sensation of sweetness, so I looked it up online. I learned that vegetable glycerine can still taste sweet with this supplement. I haven't decided yet how I feel about the sweet taste of a product that's supposed to block sweet receptors on the tongue. We'll see how it goes.I love that this Gynema Sylvestre supplement is non-GMO and alcohol-free. It's incredibly important to me that I avoid GMOs because I have a healthy distrust and disdain for genetically altered foods/products and the companies who make them. I want to completely trust the product, so I need that information. They have not responded to my inquiry through Messenger, so I don't know if there's nobody manning the questions, or just nobody manning the Facebook. If I find out who their third-party testers are, I will come back and update this.The amount of product is impressive, and the packaging (not the mailing packaging, but the actual product packaging) is top notch with a double-layer box to keep the bottle safe, and a shrink-seal to keep the product tamper-resistant.
