I'm a huge fan of the I'm From brand, so I've slowly worked my way through quite a few of their products over the last year. Their rice line pulled me in first, and ever since then I've been curious about the fig collection. When I saw this cleansing balm finally show up on Dropy, I was immediately interested because cleansing balms are one of those products I'm oddly picky about.Some are too greasy, some leave a waxy film, and some somehow manage to remove makeup while also making your skin feel like it's been emotionally drained.This one landed in a really nice sweet spot.I was expecting a little pink spatula to be looking back at me when I opened it. I like little touches like that. Something about sticking my finger or hand, even if they are clean, into a jar of skincare always makes me wonder if I turned into a petri dish now. The texture starts out soft and smooth, almost like a sorbet balm, and it melts quickly once it touches warm skin. I use it as my first cleanse at night, especially on days when I've layered sunscreen, makeup, or just spent too many hours existing in Florida humidity. It breaks most things down without needing aggressive rubbing, which I appreciate around my eyes.I do say most because I did find with waterproof eyeliner and mascara it did start to break it down but still left behind some of the eye product. I found going in before or after with an cleanser made for eye area helped remove the leftover.What I like most is how clean it rinses. Once water hits it, it turns into that milky emulsion that Korean cleansing balms do so well. It doesn't leave behind a heavy coating or that weird slippery residue that makes you question if your face is actually clean or just moisturized confusion.The fig element gives it a slightly nourishing feel without being overpowering. My skin feels soft afterward instead of tight, which is usually my sign that a cleanser is doing its job without stripping everything away. It also plays nicely with a second cleanser if you double cleanse, which I usually do at night.At around $30, it sits in that "treat yourself skincare" category, but the quality feels consistent with the price. A little goes a long way, and it turns something as basic as washing your face into a more relaxing end-of-day ritual. If you already like the I'm From line, this feels very on-brand for them: gentle, thoughtful, and quietly effective.

I absolutely love this cleansing balm. It melts into the skin easily and does an excellent job breaking down makeup, sunscreen, and even waterproof products without a lot of rubbing. I've had great experiences with other products from I'm From, and this fits right into my routine. I am happy to report this I'm From Fig Soft Cleansing Balm does a terrific job at removing waterproof sunscreen and waterproof mascara which is exactly what I ordered this for as summer and pool time approaches. This cleansing balm comes in a tub that has a nicely designed scoop and lid that perfectly holds the scoop between uses as well as has a flat edge to easily scrape excess balm off the spoon if needed without making a mess.The balm texture is that of a velvety oil based balm. The oil melts immediately into the skin and glides across the skin effortlessly. It does a great job at dissolving waterproof sunscreen and makeup of all kinds into the oil which emulsifies together and rinses away. I did not feel this cleanser left any overly significant oily residue on my skin after rinsing but did feel I still needed to follow up with my normal second (non oil) based cleanser to ensure everything that was broken up fully rinsed away. Combined with my second cleanse this has impressed me. I did not feel I needed to rub my lid line as much to breakup all of the waterproof mascara which is appreciated as my 42 yo eyelids need do not need any extra tugging these days. This balm does contain fragrance, which I noted was fairly high up in the ingredient deck. While I usually try to avoid fragrance in my facial products due to redness and occasional reactivity tendencies (combo skin), I did not note any significant amount of fragrance in this cleanser as the scent is only a very light hint of fig. My skin has shown no signs of irritation, so it leaves me questioning if the amount used is still small as it is primarily extracts that follow fragrance on the list.I only needed about a pinky width amount of balm to cleanse my entire face so I find the $30 price very reasonable as this large 3.38oz tub will last me a really long time even with daily use. Overall a terrific first step cleanser that is a terrific choice for your double cleanse routine, especially if you wear waterproof makeup.

All my makeup that I wear is waterproof since I live in the desert and sweating is unavoidable.It's not easy to remove waterproof makeup, especially mascara, and often I rub my lashes so much trying to remove my mascara that I wind up pulling out a few lashes. On top of that, if I get one bit of cleanser in my eye, my eyes turn red and watery.This cleansing balm works so well for me, melting away my waterproof foundation, eyeliner, and mascara, while not causing any irritation to my eyes.The balm looks pretty enough to eat, and when making contact with skin, instantly melts into a velvety oil. It lathers up nicely and feels smooth and soft on my face. I like watching my makeup dissolve on contact with the cleanser and then easily wash off. I have oily skin, so I was worried that this might leave my skin too oily or shiny, but it did neither. I just got clean, soft skin.There's a tiny pink spatula to scoop up what is needed so that the rest of the cleanser is not contaminated, and the spatula fits comfortably into the jar. The lid pops open for easy access, so there's no struggle to turn a jar top with wet hands.Not much is needed to lather my face and remove all of my makeup, so this jar will last a while.I really love the feel of this balm in my fingers and well as on my face, and I'm most glad that I won't lose any more of my lashes due to trying to remove my makeup; this balm makes it easy
