I decided to give this cream a try because I suffer from uneven skin tone and from a lot of blemishes so I decided that I wanted to give this a try. I've only been using it for like a week so I really can't say it's made a big difference it is not greasy. I like that. It's very lightweight. It doesn't irritate my skin like some other creams. It spreads very easily and I will give an update after a couple of weeks of trying it.

I love Isntree but I'm pretty sad that a company so devoted to natural skincare always puts silicone and other petrochemicals in their creams. While these ingredients are fine for most people, they aren't great for the environment and I prefer to avoid them. Since they are a standard part of SPF and that is non-negotiable for me, I try to avoid them in moisturizers and serums whenever possible.This used to be easy enough to do with Korean skincare but this is no longer the case even with brands that were reliably "clean". I assume this is a cost issue and mirrors the larger reformulation trend in K-beauty that is a combination of shrinkflation and less actives/lower quality ingredients. I took a star off for that in this case since isntree DOES market as clean beauty, and I don't consider a few of these ingredients clean.Aside from that, this has an interesting texture that is not-fully-gel but not-fully-cream. It has no scent or added fragrance and is not suffocating and absorbs well.Red Onion extract has been called "nature's retinol" because it helps reduce inflammation, combat oxidative stress, and boost collagen production. It also helps to fade acne scars, reduce hyperpigmentation, and fight blemish-causing bacteria. The formulation also includes several other supporting ingredients that help with all three of these things like Vitamin C, gluthiaone, and niacinamide. So there is a lot of great stuff in here that will create noticeable results with consistent use over time in terms of evening skin tone, fading scars, brightening the complexion, and giving the skin a healthy glow.Because of the vitamin C in this cream, you need to use daily SPF wherever you apply. The sunscreen in this line (with the Korean filters; not sure if there is a US reformulation) is actually widely beloved and highly recommended. I am not sure if there is a newly reformulated "Plus" version like there is for this cream and the serum.I think acne-prone, oily, and reactive skin types especially will love this cream. Dry and dehydrated types might not find it moisturizing enough on it's own, but it would be perfect for summer under SPF, especially for those in hot and humid areas.Hope that helps!
