I ordered the mixsoon PDRN Collagen Retinal 6 Capsule Serum because I love this brand and this felt like they threw every ingredient I care about into one bottle: retinal, copper tripeptide, PDRN, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid.I've been using retinoids for a while and switched from retinol to retinal, which is actually a step up in potency and effectiveness while still being gentler. My goals are fine lines and collagen production, and this formula addresses both directly.The serum looks pretty. You can see the floating capsules that look like mini roe. The serum holds its shape and doesn't drip when dispensed, but when you touch it, it's a very watery texture with a touch of oil feel. It's a watery, lightweight serum with a lovely slip that glides onto skin without dragging. No stickiness, no tackiness, absorbs really nicely.It's not a hydrating serum so I wouldn't use it alone and with retinal in the formula you really should follow with a moisturizer anyway. I also apply it to my body which works well, though at only 1.01 oz the bottle is small so it goes fast.The bottle says keep out of light, which makes the transparent bottle a slightly odd choice. I put mine back in the box for storage, which works, but a dark opaque bottle would have been nicer for a retinal product. But aesthetics you know.Regarding value, the price was around $22. I think it's great value for retinal and other ingredients.

Silly as that may seem it helps me keep on top of my routine and consistency is key to getting good results.It's no secret that Mixsoon makes great skincare products. People raving about the brand is what got me into Korean skincare originally. So if you haven't heard of Mixsoon and wound up here you're already in luck.I love the little floating "capsules" in this serum. They're like tiny blobs of oil containing different forms of retinol. They suspend the ingredients to keep them effective and add a hydrating, skin conditioning quality. I'm already accustomed to using retinol but I believe this is stronger than other serums I have. The hydrating and soothing ingredients in here likely offset any potential drying retinols can cause. I've had no reactions to this serum, either redness or dryness. And given my dry skin and says a lot. Even though it's an anti-aging formula it leaves skin feeling moisturized and comfortable. It's not sticky or heavy which makes it great to use before bed.The ingredient list is impressive for what is in this serum but also for what they leave out! No alcohols, no fragrance. Plus it's vegan!The price is pretty standard for a bottle of good serum these days and yet this is probably better than most for the price point. It comes well packaged too with safety seals so you know it's fresh. 2 thumbs up!
