Renuv Garbage Disposal Cleaner And Deodorizer Tablets, Foaming Citrus Scent Sink Odor Remover For Kitchen Drain Maintenance, 12 Extra Large Tablets

Here's the thing: these work. Disposal runs cleaner, citrus scent is pleasant without being aggressively fake, and the drain odor that previously announced itself every time you ran water is gone. Mission accomplished. The catch is entirely psychological. You drop the tablet in, run the water, flip the switch, and... nothing. No dramatic foam show, no sudsy eruption that screams "CLEANING IN PROGRESS." Just some fizzing and then it's done. Makes you wonder if you got a dud batch until you realize the disposal actually smells better and isn't grinding like it's processing gravel.Turns out suds are mostly theater - the actual cleaning happens at the chemical level, not the bubble level. But our brains are primitive and want the visual confirmation that something is happening. These tablets are the cleaning equivalent of a competent IT person who fixes your problem in 30 seconds without any dramatic flair.Foaming citrus scent is accurate and stays pleasant for a few days. Tablets are individually wrapped so they don't turn into a clumped mess in the container. Drop one in weekly and your disposal stays fresh without requiring a maintenance schedule that belongs in an aircraft manual.Dock a star purely for the lack of satisfying foam spectacle. Works great, just won't give you that cleaning product dopamine hit. Good value overall since you only use one a month.

I'm not sure if these are supposed to foam - but the first one I used did not. I compared it to another brand which foams a lot once you turn the disposal on. I used one of these first as directed, running a trickle of hot water and then turning on the disposal after 30s. There was some foam down in the disposal but it didn't come out like I was used to (or up the other sink). After running this I used a different brand and it foamed like crazy (which is what I'm used to) in the disposal and even comes out the other sink drain. When this happened a lot of gunk came out with it. I suppose that makes me believe that the first one didn't clean as much as the second (other brand) did. However, I did take a good look with a flashlight into the disposal after the first one and it was very clean inside and had a slightly lemon smell and a little chemical smell so I do think it did some cleaning.

I've been using these Garbage Disposal Cleaner Deodorizer Tablets for regular maintenance, and they work really well for everyday odors. Just drop one in with hot water, leaving the disposal noticeably cleaner and smelling fresh with a citrus scent. They're easy to use and one tablet per cleaning feels convenient and cost‑effective. The scent is a bit strong at first, and it won't completely fix heavy buildup on its own, but for routine cleaning it does exactly what it promises. Overall, a solid, low‑effort solution that keeps my sink fresh with minimal work.As other reviewers noticed, there is no massive foam nor any noticeable effect when the tablets are in the disposal. You just have to trust that they are working.
