This thing works great! It glides across the skin sooo easily. I ordered this as I wanted to up my skin care routine and my self-care days. I thought this would be a great introduction to face gua sha. When I opened the packaging, I was immediately impressed with how weighty the handle is. I have no clue if it's real jade but it's a stone of some sort. It sits in the hand nicely. It's not heavy per se, but it's not light. There is some heft with the gua sha portion of the tool. You are aware you have a tool in your hand and maneuver it as such.The bristles are very soft to the touch and on the skin. This is a high-density brush so there wasn't much movement of the bristles as they glid over the skin. I first used this dry (no products on my face). Thankfully, the pack up included a direction booklet so I followed the directions and instructions on how to 'use' it for a lymphatic massage. The directions are pretty easy to follow so that was nice.I then used it with a light oil on my face to spread around and again, it works really nicely. The little bumps catch the product well (or should I say pick up the product well). While I won't be using it for that, I'm guessing you could apply an all over foundation with this tool if you wanted.It's way too early for me to say that my face looks better, my skin is reacting better as I've only had this for a few days. I suspect those things take a little time or consistency in using the tool. I think I can use a makeup remover cleanser to clean the brush after a few uses (I have a bar soap kind that I will use). And I can wipe down gua sha handle part. Yet I like it.

Even after using multiple times and washing it, I haven't seen any bristle loss at all. The brush as a whole has a really satisfying weight to it, making it feel high quality and durable. The jade gua sha handle also makes this a fantastically versatile tool. I love giving myself a massage with the gua sha side before brushing. The jade stays cold and feels so refreshing on my skin. It glides easily with a face oil to relieve puffiness and get stagnant bloodflow moving again. I don't know that it provides any longterm benefits yet because I haven't used it for long, but I do know it's a really enjoyable part of my routine that helps me feel and look my best. It's perfect for a boost in the morning when I'm feeling bloated and puffy and at night it's perfect to unwind after a long day and maximize my nighttime products with better circulation.
