I have had Stanley products for the past 50 years, and they never disappoint, but this thermos bottle is my new favorite.ProsHuge Guzzler Chug Spout. This thing shoots water out at an alarming rate. It has a small vent so there is no glug glug, just a huge, straight stream of fluid. I love it; no sitting there with a bottle turned up waiting to get your fill off a little trickle.Keeps cool for hours and hours. The "12 hours cold" advertisement is very conservative, more like 24 hours in my experience. I have never had to add ice, and it stays cold all day, even overnight.Very lightweight. This thing is perfect for hiking. I think it weighs less than my empty water bag. Plus it is a whole lot easier to get water out for the dogs instead of using the sipping tube on the bag.Love the Dried Pine color. Matches my other Stanley products.Fits great in car cup holders. I love my Stanley Tumbler, but it's just too big for my car cup holder. This Tempo is perfect.So far, it has been leakproof with the locking lid.The protective base is a nice touch. I had to add one to my Tumbler, but the Tempo comes with one.ConsThe only con so far is that the unlocking button for the lid is a little tight. You have to press the spring-loaded switch down to unlock the lid, and I think the spring for the button is a little too strong. It will probably get easier over time, but I imagine someone with severe arthritis is going to have a hard time getting it open. I've found it is best not to press inward, but to pull down on the switch to get it to rotate out of the locked position.However, this strong lock does make it very secure, and I don't see it ever coming open in a gym bag or backpack by accident, which is a plus because nobody wants to lose all their water on a long hike.Overall, this is the best water bottle I have ever had and a great value for the money. It's going to get years and years of use, and I would definitely recommend it.

At $40, this bottle is a bit of an investment, but it is worth every single penny. I've come to expect high quality from Stanley, and this bottle completely delivers. The "Soft Orchid" color is gorgeous-it's a soft, muted matte pink with a slightly brighter pink contrast on the lid and the bottom rubber bumper. It looks premium without being overly flashy, and my wife loves it!An Important Safety Note First:Because of the heavy-duty rubber gasket and the tight seal on the screw-top lid, this bottle is strictly for cold or room-temperature, non-carbonated drinks. Do not put hot coffee, tea, or fizzy drinks in here, as the pressure build-up from the airtight seal is a safety hazard when you click the lid open.Ice Retention and Performance: This dual-wall stainless steel insulation is no joke. We recently took this bottle to the beach on a day where temperatures hit the high 80s. Even after sitting out in the direct sun for several hours, the water stayed ice-cold and there was still plenty of ice left inside the bottle. While I haven't officially run a 24-hour test, I have zero doubts that it could easily keep drinks cold for a full day or more.Workouts, Weight, and Flow Rate: While the bottle is incredibly sturdy, it still feels impressively lightweight and matches the feel of my other 24 oz tumblers. She specifically loved using this for her workouts because of the wide-mouth design. When you're hot and sweating, you want to be able to gulp down a lot of water quickly. Straw lids always feel way too restrictive, so this high-flow design is perfect for fast hydration.The Lid and the Rubber Bumper (My Favorite Features):The engineering on the lid is fantastic. It has thick, heavy-duty screw threads and a solid rubber seal that makes the bottle completely leak-proof. The lid pops open with a quick click and locks securely back into the carry handle so it doesn't flop forward and hit you in the face while you're drinking.Also, whoever decided to include the removable rubber bottom bumper deserves a raise. It completely eliminates that annoying metallic "clack" every time you set the bottle down on a counter or table, and it keeps the bottom of the pink finish from getting scratched up or dented.Easy Cleaning: With a busy house full of kids and tumblers, I try to only get things that are easy to clean (i.e. dishwasher). I love that this bottle is dishwasher safe (top rack only). I've run it through the machine multiple times now and it comes out looking clean, sparkly, and brand new with no warping or fading.Conclusion:This bottle has been such a massive hit in our household that we already ended up buying more of them in different colors for my husband and the kids. This is a very well made, quality travel water bottle. Given the brand, I wouldn't expect anything less. Stanley's been in business since 1915 for a reason.To elaborate, it just feels high end, from its construction, to the strong hinge mechanism in the spout, to the silicone boot. I usually struggle to find a water bottle that's comfortable in my small hands, but this one, at 24 oz, is completely manageable and easy to hold, even when full. It also has a steel loop on the lid if you want to hold it through that, or transport it around clipped onto your bag.It is quite lightweight, as measured against other stainless steel water bottles on the market. Stanley calls this technology "Premium AeroLight spun-steel." The only way I can describe it is to say it's like comparing butter (regular stainless steel) to whipped butter (AeroLight spun steel.) It's butter, but different. Even filled, this bottle is leagues lighter than its competitors.I ordered the "Dried Pine" color. It's reminiscent to the "avocado green" appliances back in the day. My dad had a rubber tent from the 1960's in this color, so I was actually drawn to it from that memory. Regardless, I think it's a very handsome color, suitable for anyone, whatever the generation.As per holding beverages at a cold temp for up to 30 hours, it does an adequate job. Ice lasts a very long time in it, even left out over night. You can throw the bottle in the dishwasher, but I hand wash all of my mine that have a color finish, just to keep them in top shape. I once followed a manufacturer's instructions which said you could dishwasher their bottle, but the dishwasher ruined the print. So from then on, I just choose to air on the side of caution.One of the best features of this bottle is the leakproof, locking, non-BPA lid, and one-handed spout. There's a slider that tells you to slide it down to expose the spout. But watch out - that spring action is FAST and it flies open with some force behind it. I strongly suggest you keep your fingers out of the spout cover's way, lest you want to get your fingers smashed. I feel confident if I have to put this bottle in my tote that it's not going to leak because it takes intention to make that slider work.So all things considered, this Stanley Vitalize bottle is high quality, and ticks all the boxes of what I need - long lasting cold, easy to hold, one handed mechanism, comfortable drinking spout, easy cleaning, and great look.

I own several Stanley bottles, so I'm familiar with their temperature retention, and I was a little surprised that this model doesn't make the same bold insulation claims as the Quencher line, even though it's also made from double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel. That said, the performance is still more than good enough for everyday use. I filled it with yerba and a small bit of ice, and my drink stayed cold for nearly 12 hours, which is plenty for me. One of my favorite features is that there's no straw. I know many people love straws, but I find them annoying to clean, and I hate when they fall out of the lid and become just one more thing to wash. This bottle has only two main parts, making it incredibly easy to keep clean. I was initially worried that the 24-ounce size would feel too small since I'm used to Stanley's 30- and 40-ounce Quenchers, but I really didn't miss those few ounces. In fact, the smaller size is much easier to carry, fits cup holders better, and is more comfortable to grip. I also love that it comes with a built-in silicone bumper to protect both the bottle and whatever surface you set it on. The bumper isn't removable, but I don't see that as a downside. One thing potential buyers should know is that Stanley doesn't warranty cosmetic damage, so if you want to keep the finish looking nice, I recommend hand washing it. I've learned the hard way that the dishwasher can be pretty rough on the paint over time. I don't always love Stanley's color combinations, but I think the blue and chartreuse look fantastic together, and the chrome handle gives it a really polished look. My husband isn't a fan of my water bottle collection, but few things motivate me to stay hydrated more than drinking from a pretty bottle. At the time of this review, this bottle was priced at $40, which is pretty typical for Stanley. While it's definitely a splurge, I still think Stanley makes some of the best insulated bottles and tumblers available. In my experience, they retain ice better than almost every other brand I've tried, and this is the kind of bottle you'll be using for years.
