Ok, so I'm usually someone who doesn't want scented skincare products. They don't usually cause me trouble but kinda seem unnecessary to me most of the time but this Tosowoong mask just changed my mind. It smells so delicious! I can't figure out if the scent is kind of like berries or lilac but it's so enjoyable. And since it's Tosowoong, I trust the quality of their products and ingredients.This also leaves my skin feeling great. Some peel off masks claim to hydrate and leave a serum behind but never do. This one absolutely does and my skin feels so smooth and has a moisturized glow afterwards. It's truly enjoyable. It lifts off well too and offers a gentle physical exfoliation in addition to its other benefits. I've experienced no irritation or dryness from it although I am accustomed to retinol products. I don't think this is the type of thing people will use daily though so I think it would be well tolerated even by those new to retinol.Another thing that sets this apart from other products is that the mask doesn't start drying as you apply it. I was able to get a really consistent coating everywhere on my face and was able to take my time and the mask never started peeling or pilling. That's an issue I've had with lesser quality masks. They literally dry as I'm spreading it and can make a sticky lumpy mess. The cost of this tube is totally reasonable too. I've paid more for peel off masks that weren't nearly as nice as this.The ingredients in this are fantastic, which is par for the course for Tosowoong. There's helpful peptides, retinol, bakuchiol and CICA ingredients. I do see peanut oil in the ingredients and felt that was worth mentioning for those who have a peanut allergy.If you're looking for a way to incorporate bukuchiol and retinol into your routine this is a really enjoyable way to do it!

Overall, I'm happy with this bakuchiol mask; I found it to be gentle on my skin compared to some other peel off masks I've tried, and I think it's a great option for people who might be sensitive to retinol (bakuchiol being an alternative).I grabbed this bakuchiol face mask because I've both found that Korean skincare products tend to work very well for my skin and because I find that face masks are a nice at home self care practice for me. I'm used to masks that are either overnight or only about 15-20 minutes to dry, so I was definitely curious about this one as well, given that it's supposed to take 40+ minutes to dry. And lastly, I already use retinol on alternating nights in moisturizer form, so I liked that this was bakuchiol, as that's a plant-based similar ingredient that is a bit gentler.After trying this product on my face, here are the highlights of that experience:- It did dry in about 40 minutes. I left it for an hour the first time as I wasn't sure based on the appearance, but I would do closer to 40 minutes next time. It started to lift around my nose and mouth around then. I don't mind the longer duration, as I usually choose to do a face mask at a time when I'm planning to relax with some TV and some tea or wine, etc.- I applied it with one of those flexible silicone spatulas meant for face masks. I do highly recommend using one for this as it helped to spread it thin and not waste product on my fingertips.- It smelled faintly floral, maybe a little like rose water. The scent was very faint/mild overall though and I didn't notice it shortly after it was applied.- It didn't firm up as much as an overnight mask does, but it also doesn't need to survive being slept on so that was fine. It meant that it did come off in several pieces though. The tradeoff was that it didn't pull as much at any hairs that got stuck in it. I did also use some water at the edges of my hairline and around my eyebrows to dissolve any remnants that were left after I peeled the majority of it off.- Afterward, my skin seemed brighter/glowy and my pores seemed tighter. There was one pimple I had starting that it brought to a head, which I thought was a good thing. My skin wasn't red or anything as a result. If anything, it looked calm (which makes sense given the ingredients). I found it non-irritating. If anything, I'd call this mask "gentle" compared to some other peel off masks I've tried.- My only complaint is the small size. It is definitely what I'd consider a "premium" skincare product at the price (it's about $33 CAD at the time of my review), but it does seem like the ingredients support this (you can see the full ingredients as stated on the product in my attached photo). I've also come to know the TOSOWOONG brand as being one that offers very good quality Korean skincare products, so I feel good about that too.

I used this a couple different times for different reasons and varied the time of day that I applied. The first time I used, it was at night before bed, which is when I use most of my masks, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it seemed to lock in moisture. Especially once I added a serum and hydrating cream on top, my skin really had a glassy effect! However, when I woke up in the morning, I noticed that it really didn't look the same… My skin looked pretty normal actually. The effect definitely didn't last as long as I was hoping.So I waited a few days and then I tried this again in the morning time, hoping that it would give my dry skin a boost on a day that was extra windy. I will say that during the morning I looked pretty radiant! I opted for no makeup that day so I could really see the results and they were about the same as at night a temporary little glow that made me look much more awake than I really was at 8 AM. But by the time early afternoon arrived, I was back to looking fairly normal and after having that dewy look for most of the day I was kind of disappointed.I think this product is perfect for before a date night! All of the good ingredients that are packed in here are excellent, but they are superficial and they aren't going to be absorbed into your skin, but rather kind of lay on top. Think of it as like "skincare makeup," without it being makeup.I also recommend using a face paddle to smooth it out and get an even application, this made a big difference for me when it came to peeling it off after. This is a pretty good value for what it is, but I can definitely see myself going through this tube pretty quiet. I'll definitely be ordering more from this brand.

This is a face mask (For those who maybe didn't read the whole title but are somehow reading this. I won't lie, I did get confused because it isn't clear from the front of the container that it is a mask.I have moderately sensitive middle aged (37) skin, that with the change in seasons has been getting more acne on my chin area. I also have fine lines, and some darker sun spots.I wanted to add a mask in to potentially help with the lines, and I am admittedly a bit claustrophobic in the sheet masks.I like that you put this on, leave it for 40 minute and then can take it off. The peeling it off reminds me of masks from when I was younger. It was so easy to apply and didn't bother my skin at all. I do think that my skin looked plumper and had less noticeable fine lines after using it.I have used it once a week for four weeks now. I think the consistency helps with the effectiveness, and while the effects don't last forever, they do last for a day or two now.I don't know if you are supposed to decrease the moisturizer you use when you use it, but so far it has felt moisturizing to my skin.I also appreciate how versatile it is. I can put it on and go about my day, read a book, or chill in bed depending on my mood. I felt like sheet masks were much more retristive. The scent is very mild. I haven't noticed it at all.
