Description
The 3M Fire Barrier Silicone Sealant 2000 Plus is a professional-grade, single-component elastomeric paste designed to deliver exceptional firestopping and acoustic performance in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Supplied in a convenient 10.3 fluid ounce cartridge, this neutral-cure formula cures upon exposure to atmospheric humidity, forming a durable, flexible seal that effectively prevents the passage of fire, smoke, and noxious gases through construction joints and through-penetrations.
Engineered for high-performance applications, it adheres securely to concrete, metal, cables, and various standard building substrates while accommodating dynamic joint movement. Its re-enterable formulation allows for easy repairs, maintenance, and future retrofits of cables or pipes without compromising structural integrity.
Additionally, it helps minimize airborne sound transmission, enhancing overall acoustic privacy in structured wall assemblies.
