Description
The 7artisans 4mm F2.8 Circular Fisheye is an ultra-wide manual focus prime lens designed for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. Created for photographers and videographers seeking a dramatic, immersive perspective, this lens features an astonishing 225-degree field of view. The extreme angle produces a striking circular fisheye effect, expanding spatial depth and opening creative possibilities for architectural, landscape, and action sports photography.
Built with a robust all-metal barrel, the lens remains incredibly compact and lightweight at just 201 grams, making it a highly portable addition to your travel gear. Its optical construction consists of 10 glass elements arranged in 8 groups, engineered to minimize internal reflections, flaring, and ghosting for consistently sharp images. With an aperture range of F2.8 to F16 and an exceptionally close minimum focusing distance of 0.085 meters, you can capture detailed, exaggerated close-ups against massive backgrounds.
This manual prime lens gives creators complete tactile control over their focus and exposure settings, perfect for exploring unique visual narratives.
How to use
- Ensure your Sony mirrorless camera is turned off before mounting the lens.

FAQs
What is a fisheye vs ultra wide angle lens?
An ultra-wide lens corrects linear perspective to keep straight lines straight, while a fisheye lens intentionally leaves visual distortion uncorrected. This results in a unique, curved, or circular image that offers a significantly wider field of view than a standard ultra-wide lens.
Does this lens support automatic focusing on Sony cameras?
No, this is a completely manual focus prime lens. You will need to adjust both the focus and the aperture settings manually using the dedicated rings on the lens barrel.
Can I use this lens on full-frame Sony cameras like the A7 series?
Yes, it is physically compatible with full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. However, because it is designed for APS-C format sensors, it will produce a pronounced circular crop unless you switch your camera to APS-C crop mode.
Is this 7artisans lens an authentic import available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic product imported directly from global channels. Dropy India sources genuine personal care, health, and premium tech gear from the USA and international markets to guarantee product legitimacy for Indian buyers.
Does the lens come with a lens cap or hood?
Due to the prominent, bulbous shape of the front element characteristic of 4mm ultra-wide fisheye lenses, it features a specially designed custom front lens cap that slips over the entire element to protect it from scratches.
