FAQs
What is a boba straw?
A boba straw is an extra-wide drinking straw specifically designed to accommodate large mix-ins found in bubble tea, such as tapioca pearls, jelly, and popping boba. Standard drinking straws are too narrow and will clog, whereas boba straws typically feature a diameter of around 12 millimeters for smooth flow.
What size straw do I need for boba?
For traditional bubble tea and smoothies, you need a straw with a diameter of at least 1/2 inch or 12 millimeters. This ensures that chewy toppings like tapioca pearls can pass through without getting stuck.
What can I use as a boba straw?
If you do not have a dedicated boba straw, an extra-wide disposable smoothie straw is the best alternative. Standard drinking straws, coffee stirrers, or narrow reusable metal straws will not work for drinks containing pearls or popping boba.
Are these straws authentic USA imports?
Yes, these Alink boba straws are 100% authentic USA-imported products. Dropy sources them directly from the United States to ensure you receive genuine, high-quality catering supplies.
Can these straws be reused?
While these are designed as disposable plastic straws, their durable construction means they can be hand-washed and reused multiple times for thick beverages if desired.
