FAQs
How does a Tesla coil work?
A Tesla coil is a resonant transformer circuit that produces high-voltage, low-current, high-frequency alternating current electricity. In this musical model, the electrical discharges ionize the air to create visible artificial lightning arcs that can pulse to audio frequencies.
Can Tesla coils play music?
Yes, this specific model supports square-wave music playback. When connected via wireless technology, the device modulates the electrical arcs to produce audible, melodic tones directly through the spark discharge.
Is a mini Tesla coil safe to use?
Mini Tesla coils are designed with circuit protection and low operational power outputs suitable for desktop use and educational demonstrations. However, users should keep sensitive electronics away from the active coil and avoid use if they carry a medical pacemaker.
