FAQs
Are flirt poles good for dogs?
Yes, flirt poles are excellent tools for high-energy dogs as they provide both intense physical exercise and mental stimulation. They help channel natural chasing instincts and can be used to teach essential impulse control commands.
What are the dangers of flirt poles?
The main risk involves joint strain from sharp, repetitive twisting and high-impact jumps on hard surfaces. To prevent injury, use the toy on grassy terrain, keep the lure low to the ground, and avoid sudden, erratic yanks while your dog is grabbing the toy.
Can the pole handle aggressive chewers?
The aluminum pole itself is designed for swinging and pulling, but it is not a chew toy. The included cotton ropes are highly durable, but playtime should always be supervised to ensure your pet does not chew on the rod or nylon cord.
