  Lightweight gel moisturizer with barrier support

  I was excited to try this one because I already have very good experiences with Anua products. I've used and really enjoyed some of their cleansers before, so when I saw they launched this Barrier Reboot line my ears immediately perked up. Barrier support is exactly the category I tend to gravitate toward lately. This particular moisturizer is their water gel cream for oily and combination skin, and at $26 for 100 mL I actually think the value is really good, especially for K beauty. You get a generous amount of product and with the gel texture a little goes a long way. Texture wise, this ended up being lighter than I prefer. It spreads easily and leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated without looking shiny. The dimethicone and silica are mattifying and the finish feels soft and almost lightly blurred instead of greasy. My skin tends to do really well with silicones and this felt comfortable the entire time I wore it. Ingredient wise, this feels much more focused on hydration and barrier support than glow or dramatic overnight results. There are plenty of humectants here like glycerin, butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, sodium hyaluronate, and hyaluronic acid, but what I liked is that they paired those ingredients with actual barrier support instead of making this into another sticky water gel. Ceramide NP, cholesterol, panthenol, beta glucan, phytosphingosine, sphingolipids, glycolipids, lecithin, and squalane all make sense together and give this more of a comfortable, maintained skin feel. I also really liked that they left out fragrance, essential oils, and nothing that immediately made me nervous for reactive skin. For me, this actually works better as a daytime moisturizer than a night cream. I think this is going to be especially nice heading into summer or on days where I know I'll be active and don't want something heavy sitting on my skin. It layers beautifully under sunscreen and makeup and never felt greasy. I think Anua nailed exactly what they were trying to make here. If your skin leans oily, combination, or just prefers lighter hydration than mine does, I could see this being an easy everyday moisturizer.

  ANUA Barrier Reboot Water Gel Cream

  I love Anua skincare so much, and their creams are some of the only ones on the market that don't cause me breakouts. I recently ordered the Barrier Reboot Water Gel Cream. This is a 3.38 tube of a lightweight gel cream that is a mid weight consistency, designed to repair the skin barrier by providing a protective skin layer full of deep hydration. It is formulated with key ingredients like ML3 Precursors that were developed with the Kaist, Ceramides, and Hyaluronic Acid. And, it was co-developed with dermatologists. I love that it is non-comedogenic and won't clog power which is always a concern for me. I love that it is fragrance free. When I apply this cream it feels lightweight and massages into my skin nicely. As it absorbs, my skin starts to feel so smooth and instantly feels replenished in moisture. I'm in a phase of barrier repair right now and really enjoying it. I have had no adverse reactions and it's leaving my face feeling great! One thing I really love about Anua is that their products are always nice in quality and with an affordable price - which equals a great value.

  REACTIVE SKIN & ACNE FRIENDLY

  I LOVE this Anua Water gel cream! I have combo skin that struggles with rosacea, reactivity and acne in my 40's. Living where its very hot and humid currently I need a moisturizer that delivers real barrier support without inducing any heaviness or pore congestion and this Anua Barrier Reboot Water Gel Cream fits perfectly. This lightweight gel cream has an elegant silky texture thanks to its higher silicone content. It absorbs almost instantly and leaves behind a soft, lightweight breathable finish that feels very comfortable on both my drier areas as well as my T zone. My skin has responded exceptionally well feeling calm, balanced, and comfortably hydrated all throughout the day with no irritation, tightness, breakouts or congestion even on these currently hotter days where I live when most face creams can become too much. It layers well with my other skincare though I have noticed this cream benefits from allowing other skincare products to fully dry down before layering to avoid minor pilling occurring. With more careful layering, this cream behaves as a terrific makeup primer that helps keep my makeup looking terrific throughout the day. I only recently began including more skincare with silicones and have been continually surprised at how much better my skin behaves with skincare that uses silicone as the primary occlusive rather than other emollients. My acne tendencies and my skins resilience have both significantly improved since making this switch. The multiple forms of hyaluronic acid and other humectants here provide terrific hydration without any heaviness. This product also uses a patented technology with ceramide NP to help strengthen the skin barrier and also includes many soothing agents like panthenol and beta glucan that are great at calming my skin. Anyone that loves a silky silicone based moisturizer will LOVE this well formulated lightweight, barrier supporting moisturizer that is very acne and sensitive skin friendly.

  Gentle, simple moisturizer

  Upon trying this water gel cream, I was so impressed by how well it absorbed into my skin. This cream is unscented, and the gel like consistency of this cream is different, but in a good way. I enjoy how lightweight this cream feels on my skin and how hydrated it makes my skin feel without leaving any greasy residue. What I enjoy most about this moisturizer is that it actually does a great job at moisturizing my skin without irritating it or causing acne. Overall I have to say this gel cream is definitely worth its value. Considering how well it blends into the skin, how non comedogenic it is, and the overall ingredient profile is just great! I really enjoy this moisturizer and how simple it is for my sensitive combination skin.
