    APRÉS Base Gelcoat X

    This arrived quickly and was exactly as expected. This is one of the best brands for gel-x nails (IMO). As soon as I received it, I used it to try it out and test it. The bottle is a good size with the amount of product being 15 ml. The bottle has a matte finish and is completely opaque. The brush is the special Apres Gel X brush which is one of the best. The brush is easy to use and each swipe gives off a good amount of product. The brush is shaped in a way that makes it easy to apply. I agree with the claim that this is self-leveling. I like that the product is HEMA & TPO free. I am now trying to buy products that are HEMA and TPO free so that's a plus. This cures well and my nails have not fallen off prematurely. And this does not have an odor. If I was to bring the product up to my face, then yes I would smell something but it's not at all noticeable or overpowering. The consistency is about a medium. It's not running, but it's not super thick. The consistency is actually really good and which makes it easy to work with. This is great to use to build the nail and use over tips or extensions to add some bulk for filing. It wears well under polish.This is a great product that works well and does an amazing job.

    I've been a fan of APRÉS nail products since they came out with the Gel-x system. This Base Gelcoat truly lives up to the reputation of the brand. From consistency to performance, it checks all the boxes I care about in a gel manicure base.Right away, I noticed the gel's medium-to-thick, self-leveling texture - it's not runny at all, which gives you time to get it leveled perfectly before curing. This thicker base coat creates a better surface that grips gel color well, which helps reduce lifting.With my 120W LED lamp, it reliably cures in about 30 seconds without any heat spikes - even when applied a little thicker. Like any gel product, soak-off removal is necessary when you're ready to take it off. I find that gently filing the top layer before soaking makes the acetone removal process much easier.A couple important points to remember: this is a base coat - not a builder gel or extension product. It's designed to prep and protect your natural nails and give your color something to bond to. I don't always wear base coat for every set, but I especially appreciate it with highly pigmented colors that can stain nails, and I genuinely feel it helps my manicures last longer.If you're already an APRÉS fan like me, this base gel is a reliable staple for gel polish and enhancements - whether you're a beginner or pro.

    Good thick base

    APRÉS Base Gelcoat 15ml | TPO-Free Self-Leveling Gel Nail Polish Soak Off Base Coat Wow, this is a really thick base coat! Nice! It goes on smoothly, no clumping, and dries quickly. There's no lifting and it provides a good base for my polish. Best base I've found so far!
