FAQs
How to use aqua natural bio substrate?
Do not rinse the product before use. You can use it as a standalone primary substrate or mix it with other dry substrates. The recommended ratio is one part live bio-substrate to four parts dry substrate to ensure effective bacterial colonization.
Is nitrifying bacteria good for an aquarium?
Yes, nitrifying bacteria are essential for a healthy aquarium. They are responsible for the nitrogen cycle, which converts toxic ammonia produced by fish waste into less harmful nitrates, ensuring a safe living environment for all tank inhabitants.
What is the best bacteria starter for an aquarium?
Substrates pre-seeded with live, active bacteria like the Aqua Natural Bio-Substrate are considered highly effective. By introducing the bacteria directly into the substrate, they colonize the tank floor immediately, providing a stable foundation for the biological cycle.
