FAQs
What is a 3-way microphone splitter used for?
A 3-way microphone splitter takes a single audio signal from a microphone or line-level source and splits it into three independent outputs. This allows sound engineers to simultaneously feed the front-of-house mixing console, a monitor mix station, and a recording deck or broadcast feed without signal degradation.
Does the ART S8-3Way pass phantom power?
Yes, the direct output channel on each of the eight inputs passes phantom power from the main mixing console back through to the connected microphone, making it fully compatible with condenser microphones.
Is the ART S8-3Way active or passive?
The ART S8-3Way is a passive audio splitter, meaning it operates without needing an external power supply or batteries while maintaining clean signal integrity across all connected outputs.
