Works anywhere with or without oluf
Gave this as a offering for someone who loves to listen classical music on the radio and they treasure it. For 1/3 of the money you could get a generic clock radio and have a slightly inferior but comparable listening interaction. A lot of thought has clearly gone into its design as it tries to auto-tune to the station it thinks you're trying to find and the sound standard is phenomenal. At it's most basic form you can just plug and play with no complicated setup. While this is a superb article, this is certainly a luxury piece. Seems superb and the plain design makes it easy to utilize. That being said, there is worth in the extra dollars here in both the assembly (very durable) and design (simple controls are a boon for those with poor eyesight/dexterity/etc..) that can make this worth the premium amount. If you are looking for a radio that doubles as a area piece, you wouldn't go mistaken with this as long as you're willing to pay for that privilege. There are options for additional external antenna or external speakers but those are not necessary (i do not have them so i can't comment on their caliber). You have to accept that you are paying a premium for what is basically just a highly nice radio.

Perfect for camping
Yes, I do appreciate this radio. FM part in charge it up the USB cord and it does last for a long time when you're playing it and yes, I would purchase another one if I needed it. I have only used the a.m.

AM/FM/SW radio - I was plesantly taken aback at the performance
Fine little radio to play around with. I also like the fact that it charges through the USB Micro B connection. Listening to sideband signals can be a challenge, but the radio grasps its own. A charge lasts quite a long time in this thing. Reception on FM is good, the included Directional Antenna, makes AM reception superior. I quite haven't put it through it paces yet. Overall, its lovely little radio to have and offers good deal for the cost. A random wire clipped to the built-in telescoping antenna can bring in more signals, but also bring in more noise (QRN). Shortwave is about what you would expect from a radio this size.

The craftsmanship is superior.
Is an exact replica of the one my sister had in the 1960's. The song repetition is exceptional for babies and toddlers. The quality, style, detail design is exactly as I remember it. This is only the second time I have noticed a remake of a toy that was common 50 years ago that has maintained the quality of the originals. Wish that were more often authentic of toys that are "brought rear". I am surprised the babies still treasure this toy when they are now regularly exposed to electric moving screens of phones and current electronics. And learning to wind it is good motor strength and flexibility for small hands utilized to merely pushing buttons or touching screens.
