FAQs
Checking device compatibility for your specific 4K/8K source and display equipment?
This active HDMI cable is fully compatible with standard HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 equipment supporting 4K Ultra HD, 8K/30 displays, HDR formats, and eARC audio gear. Ensure your source devices and screens output compatible resolutions to fully leverage the 18Gbps bandwidth.
Routing and installation tips for running a 10m active HDMI cable through walls?
Because this cable is directional, make certain to pull the cable in the correct direction from source to display before sealing walls. Avoid tight 90-degree bends or excessive pulling force to protect the internal active equalization circuitry and maintain optimal performance.
What makes an active HDMI cable different from a standard passive cable?
Active HDMI cables contain built-in electronic circuitry powered by the HDMI connection to boost and equalize data signals over long distances. This prevents signal loss, dropouts, and degradation that typically affect passive cables running past 5 meters.
