Product details

The Audiovox SiriusXM FMDA25 Direct Adapter is a premium hardwired FM relay kit designed to provide a completely static-free audio experience for satellite radio enthusiasts. Ideal for vehicle owners who want to upgrade their current audio quality, this device connects your portable SiriusXM receiver directly to your car stereo system.

By establishing a physical link between your radio and the vehicle antenna input, it completely bypasses weak over-the-air frequencies and eliminates wireless interference. This makes it perfect for long drives across India where local FM radio signals frequently overlap and disrupt wireless transmitters.

The system features an intelligent internal relay that automatically switches between satellite radio and your standard factory FM bands based on whether your dock is powered on. Compatible with most SiriusXM Dock and Play radios as well as PowerConnect vehicle kits, it hides discreetly behind your vehicle dashboard for a clean and professional look.

  1. Remove your vehicle dashboard fascia to access the rear of your factory car stereo.
  2. Unplug the existing AM and FM antenna cable from the back of the radio and insert it into the matching input on the adapter.
  3. Connect the adapter antenna output cable back into the car radio input.
  4. Route the long 3.5 millimeter mini-jack cable out from behind the dash and plug it into the FM Out port on your compatible SiriusXM vehicle dock.
  5. Professional installation is highly recommended to prevent damage to your vehicle dashboard.

High-conductivity copper wiring, shielded rubberized insulation jacket, internal relay switching circuit components, standard 3.5 millimeter mini-jack connector, coaxial FM antenna input adapters.

FAQs

What is the adapter for Sirius radio?

The adapter is a hardwired relay device that physically connects a portable satellite radio dock to your vehicle factory car stereo. It inputs the audio signal directly through the antenna connection, which completely eliminates the static, hiss, and audio fading associated with standard wireless FM transmitters.

What devices are compatible with SiriusXM?

This specific adapter is compatible with most SiriusXM Dock and Play radios, portable docks, and vehicles utilizing PowerConnect kits that feature a dedicated 3.5 millimeter FM Out port. Please note that certain vehicle models may require additional, separate antenna adapters to match the factory radio inputs.

Can I use my factory Sirius antenna with an aftermarket receiver?

Factory satellite radio antennas use proprietary connections that generally require specialized conversion adapters to match standard aftermarket receivers. The FMDA25 adapter focuses specifically on connecting the audio output of a portable receiver to the standard FM radio antenna system rather than converting satellite antenna signals.

Is this Audiovox SiriusXM adapter an authentic USA import available in India?

Yes, this is an authentic Audiovox product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources all personal care, electronics, and specialty lifestyle goods directly from verified United States distributors to ensure genuine quality and authenticity for Indian shoppers.

Does the adapter require professional installation?

Yes, because the installation process requires removing portions of your vehicle dashboard and disconnecting the factory radio antenna wires behind the stereo unit, professional installation by a car audio technician is strongly recommended.
