It doesn't leave behind any white flaking once it's set. It's not oily or sticky. I also appreciate the scent which is free of artificial fragrances. It has a clean, coconut aroma that isn't overpowering. The performance during the drying phase is where this gel stands out. It creates a very firm crunchy "cast" which is exactly what you want for definition. Once my hair was 100% dry, I scrunched out the crunch, and it transformed into soft, bouncy curls that felt hydrated rather than parched. The longevity is impressive! I'd love to see a larger pump-bottle or spray version to make it easier to dispense. Additionally, while it claims to be for all curl types, those with very fine, thin hair might find the "maximum hold" a bit heavy.     Great Hold, Soft Finish, and Lasting Definition

    This gel really impressed me. I have purchased from this brand before and have always felt they deliver quality products, so I was excited to try this one on my long curly hair. The first thing I noticed was the scent. To me it smells like baby powder. It is fairly strong when you first apply it, not a bad smell, just noticeable. It applied easily to damp hair and distributed evenly. After drying, my hair had a cast and felt stiff at first, which is expected with a stronger hold product.
