FAQs
How to keep bird seed from falling out of bird cage?
Using an elastic mesh guard like the Bissap Bird Cage Seed Catcher is the most effective method. It wraps securely around the base of the enclosure to block falling hulls and feathers. The fine mesh captures flying debris while still allowing proper light and airflow.
Is it good to cover a bird's cage at night?
Covering a birdcage at night helps mimic natural darkness, blocks out stressful drafts, and establishes a secure sleep schedule. However, full nighttime covers are different from this seed catcher, which remains at the bottom of the cage during daytime hours to trap mess.
What is the best flooring for a bird cage?
The best flooring typically includes non-toxic newspaper or recycled paper liners placed under a bottom wire grate. Combining proper bottom liners with a perimeter seed catcher prevents mess from spilling onto your room flooring.
