FAQs
Will a cat cone stop licking?
Yes, a soft recovery cone creates a physical barrier around your pet's neck. This prevents them from reaching, licking, or biting at surgical wounds, skin infections, or stitches on their body.
What is the best cone for a cat after surgery?
A soft fabric or plush donut cone is highly recommended after surgery. Unlike rigid plastic cones, a soft cone is lightweight, reduces anxiety, and allows your pet to eat, drink, and sleep comfortably.
Can I leave my pet alone while wearing this soft recovery collar?
It is highly recommended to supervise your pet during the first few hours of wearing the collar to ensure they cannot slip out of it. Once you have adjusted it for a secure fit and confirmed they can move comfortably, they can wear it safely under general supervision.
