High-Quality Puppy Food That My Dog Loves

My 8-month-old pup absolutely loves this kibble and has done great on it. I can't speak to the taste, but judging by how fast he eats it, I'm guessing it's a winner. Blue Buffalo has a reputation for using quality ingredients, and a quick look at the label backs that up.The kibble is small, crunchy, and easy for him to eat, while providing a nice balance of protein, fiber, and other nutrients to keep him healthy, energetic, and sporting a soft, shiny coat. Overall, it's been an excellent choice, and I'll happily keep buying it.

    No secret chicken ingredients

Happy to find this, my pup has a chicken allergy and is picky when it comes to food. :( he loved chicken. But this has not secret chicken ingredients and he loves it.

    Worked great for my "puppy"

Honestly, I did not mean to buy the puppy version of this. However, my two 13-year-old year-old puppies really liked this food. But the more important thing and surprising to me was that it did not at all bother their digestion. A lot of good dog food does not sit well with them. I am really happy with the quality of this dog food. I was surprised even that after shipping it's still good. I suppose it would go through the same shipping even if it ended up at the grocery store. My dogs are not very picky about the taste of dog food, except when it's obviously bad or if it has more plain rice or grains than meat flavor.Very often, my dogs will get sick by simply switching dog food. Even grain free dog food will not be processed well, if you catch my drift. So I was quite happily surprised to see that this dog food had no negative effect. What I did notice is that their stool was more normal. Usually, if there's something that they don't take well it gets a little liquidy for one of the dogs. All that said if I was getting this for a puppy whose diet I wasn't sure about: I believe this would be a very good option. If we do get a puppy, I would never hesitate to buy this bag/brand.

A well balanced food , great for puppies with allergies to chicken !

I ordered this Blue Buffalo Wilderness puppy food because I wanted a chicken-free option with lamb as the main protein. This is helpful for puppies that may not do well with chicken or for owners who are trying to rotate proteins while still using a well-known brand. My pup took to this food right away and had no stomach issues. The kibble size is nice for puppies. The lamb recipe has a strong enough smell to get a puppy's attention, but it is not overwhelming.I like that this formula is focused on higher protein and includes DHA for puppy development. It also does not contain corn, wheat, or soy, which is a plus for dogs with certain sensitivities. The 4.5 lb bag is a convenient size for trying the food before committing to a larger bag especially for people struggling to find something that works for their puppies. As with any puppy food, I would recommend transitioning slowly from the old food to avoid stomach upset. Also, while this is chicken-free, it is still worth reading the full ingredient list if your dog has serious allergies. The quality blue buffalo provides is high and all the ingredients have a purpose which is one reason I trust this brand!
