    there is gentleness in the aftermath, but this is quite potent

    This is a luxurious cream-to-foam cleanser with a very classic feel. The texture is rich, the lather builds instantly, and the directed tiny pearl-sized amount expands into enough foam for a full cleanse. Anything more is too much. It is far more potent than most modern low-pH cleansers and should be used with care.In use, it leaves my skin thoroughly clean but not stripped. There is a softness afterward from the oils and emollients in the formula, which helps balance out the strong soap base. For me, this makes it excellent for specific situations: removing heavier sunscreen, or handling days where there is more grime to wash off. It cuts through buildup quickly and rinses away cleanly. For those who use makeup, this would be great as well.As a daily cleanser, it is stronger than I prefer. I have other gentler, more modern options for routine use, and those fit better with my day-to-day skincare. Where this does shine is as an occasional "deep clean" step. Used sparingly, it performs well and feels elevated. Because I only need such a small amount, the tube will last a long time, and I appreciate having something this polished on my shelf to reach for when the occasion calls for it.Overall, this is a well-executed, high-end cleanser with real power behind its creamy lather. For me, I think it's just best reserved for targeted, infrequent use rather than daily cleansing.

    Amazing Face Cleanser. Makes My Skin Feel Firm and Comfortable.

    This is an amazing face cleanser. It makes my facial skin feel firm, clean and comfortable after washing and moisturizing. A small pea generates a smooth, comfortable lather that enables me to cleanse all parts of my face. It rinses off easily and cleanly. I also find that this soap is great for shaving. I typically shave first with an electric razor, and then use a safety razor to get a super close, smooth shave. This soap certainly helps me get a close shave with the safety razor, and my skin feels great afterwards, too. The list of ingredients is mainly a long list of moisturizers. The few chemicals listed at the beginning are the cleansers, the few chemicals listed at the end are preservatives and fragrances, and everything in between is a moisturizer. I prefer fragrance-free products, but the list of ingredients and the description indicate this cleanser has a fragrance. However, I can only smell the fragrance if I try really hard, and then I can just barely smell it. Otherwise, I detect no fragrance, and certainly no fragrance lingers after washing and rinsing.

    Good ingredients, good cleanser

    I'm always looking for a good face wash with clean ingredients and this is it. Most of the ingredients are various fruit oils that are safe and gentle on the skin. The foaming action of this wash is fantastic so a tiny bit goes a long way. Although it is a fairly pricey face wash it will last a VERY long time. It has a light and pleasant scent that smelled very natural with no added fragrance listed in the ingredients. It left my face feeling very clean, but I do wish it was a tad more moisturizing. Overall, it is still getting 5 stars from me because I love it.
