Description
The Cozzzy Covers Model 3224 DT Universal Cage Cover by Bonka Bird Toys is an essential accessory designed to help large pet birds maintain a healthy, natural sleep cycle. Crafted specifically for dome top bird enclosures, this premium cover measures 54 inches in vertical length and loosely drapes over cages measuring 28 to 32 inches wide and 20 to 24 inches deep.
Its spacious one-piece design easily accommodates external seed guards without restrictive tightness. Made from a non-toxic, lightweight blend of 65 percent polyester and 35 percent cotton, the fabric effectively blocks out external light and ambient distractions to reduce bird stress and minimize night frights.
This breathable structure ensures continuous fresh airflow throughout the night so your pet stays safe and comfortable. Perfect for large bird species like Congo African Greys, Yellow-Collared Macaws, and Jardine's Parrots, it features a patented front flap secured by hook-and-loop fasteners.
This allows pet parents to open the front door for feeding or interaction without undergoing the hassle of removing the entire cover. It resists shrinking, stains, and wrinkles, making it completely machine washable for low-maintenance care.
How to use
- Gently drape the one-piece cover over the top of your compatible dome top bird cage before your bird's designated bedtime.
- Ensure the front flap lines up with the main cage door.
- To access the interior for feeding or nighttime checks, simply unfasten the hook-and-loop side strips, roll the front panel upward, and secure it.
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle when cleaning is required, and tumble dry on low heat.

FAQs
Do cockatiels need to be covered at night?
Yes, covering your cockatiel at night can help reduce stress and prevent night frights caused by sudden lights or shadows. It also ensures they receive the recommended 10 to 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep required for their optimal long-term health.
What can I use as a bird cage cover?
While basic sheets or blankets can be used, a dedicated commercial cover made from non-toxic, breathable material is highly recommended. Purpose-built covers block out light effectively while maintaining proper air exchange, preventing the interior of the habitat from overheating.
How to cover a cockatiel cage?
To cover the enclosure safely, place a lightweight, breathable, and dark cover over the top of the cage at a consistent time each night. Ensure that the fabric fits loosely and does not block airflow vents or create tightly sealed pockets around the enclosure.
Is this Bonka Bird Toys cage cover an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this is a 100 percent authentic USA-imported pet care accessory sourced directly from original global distribution channels. Dropy India handles the direct importation to ensure premium quality and genuineness for Indian pet parents.
Will this universal cover fit flat top or play top bird cages?
This specific Model 3224 DT is uniquely tailored with a curved profile to accommodate dome top enclosures perfectly. For flat top or play top structures, alternative universal models by the same manufacturer are recommended to achieve a proper, loose-fitting drape.
