FAQs
What do guitar string retainers do?
Guitar string retainers, also known as string trees, apply downward pressure on the strings between the nut and tuning pegs. This ensures proper break angle over the nut slots, prevents strings from slipping out, and improves overall tuning stability.
What guitars are compatible with these roller string retainers?
These retainers are designed as direct replacement parts suitable for most standard electric guitars, including popular models like Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, that utilize headstock string trees.
How do roller string trees differ from standard flat string trees?
Unlike static flat string trees that create friction and potential binding as strings move, roller string trees feature rotating wheels that allow the strings to glide smoothly, minimizing wear and improving tuning accuracy.
