FAQs
Is a 24 cm wheel good for a Syrian hamster?
A 24 centimeter wheel is often considered the minimum size, but a larger 12.5 inch or 32 centimeter wheel like this Bucatstate model is highly recommended for Syrian hamsters. The larger diameter ensures their spine remains perfectly straight while running, preventing long term back pain and injury.
What are the benefits of a hamster wheel?
An exercise wheel provides vital physical activity that keeps small rodents healthy, prevents obesity, and mimics their natural instinct to forage and run miles at night. It also offers essential mental stimulation, significantly reducing stress and cage boredom.
Which silent hamster wheel is the best for hedgehogs and rats?
The Bucatstate 12.5 inch acrylic wheel is excellent for hedgehogs, rats, and sugar gliders due to its heavy duty wide track and durable build. Its dual bearing system handles heavier small pets smoothly while remaining completely silent.
Is this Bucatstate hamster wheel an authentic imported product in India?
Yes, it is entirely authentic. Dropy sources this premium Bucatstate exercise wheel directly from authorized distributors in the USA and imports it to India, ensuring Indian pet parents receive genuine international quality pet care supplies.
Can the running drum be washed with water?
Yes, the acrylic running drum can be detached and cleaned easily. However, you must avoid getting the central aluminum alloy dual ball bearings wet, as moisture can damage the internal mechanism and compromise the silent spinning feature.
