    Pair this supplement with Alpha Lipoic Acid and reap the benefits

    Acetyl-L-Carnitine, often called "ALCAR" is an amino acid that I've been taking for years now. I pair it with Alpha Lipoic Acid to reap cognitive benefits, blood sugar lowering benefits, and energy benefits.The dose I take is usually 1000mg of ALCAR with 300-600mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid and I take it in the morning because one of the other benefits is it gives you an energy boost.I subbed this Bucked Up version of ALCAR in for the one I usually take and noticed no side effects or negative effects. It had me running on all cylinders. I need my brain to be sharp for my work and I need to find that extra boost for my workouts during the day and this delivers both I take it with my meals as well. It protects from wild blood sugar spikes and I find I don't get sleepy during the day after lunch when I take it.As a long-time ALCAR user, I definitely recommend this version. Do some reading about what pairing this with Alpha Lipoic Acid can do for you and try it out.

    Decent supplement for brain fog, at the proper dose

    I ordered this because acetyl-L-carnitine is one of the supplements that a friend told me about years ago for the fatigue and brain fog I was dealing with--while it helped then. But I now know that I was deficient in magnesium at the time, which can also cause extreme fatigue and brain fog, and since taking magnesium has eliminated a chunk of my brain fog, I decided to give this another try now that I'm closer to having my mineral balance sorted out.It's cut another 50-60% of the brain fog out, so now it's down to basically an occasional bad day or spacing a couple of minor details, instead of losing track of the entire story or the day's plan or even what I was meaning to do when I got up from my desk 30 seconds ago (which is where I was last summer before the magnesium).These are capsules, so they have essentially no smell or taste, though they're easy to swallow. They don't trigger any extra nausea or GI issues, or make me randomly anxious or extra-chilled out; they simply make my brain work pretty close to how I remember it working 20 years ago before my health collapsed and left me unable to work. So the dosage is at a level where it's been shown to be helpful without risking causing additional problems or imbalances, making them well worth the $8-9/month they cost me to take.

    120 capsules, 500mg per capsule of Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI

    I've been taking L-Carnitine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine for many years, so, my body is used to it. I tend to stick to specific brands, however I was curious to try these capsules from Bucked Up since I've had good experiences in the past with other products from them. The bottle contains 120 capsules and each capsule contains 500mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI. The recommended serving on the bottle is 1,000mg, which would give you 60 servings per bottle. Myself, I don't always take 1,000mg of L-Carnitine per day, so if you also don't take 1,000mg per day, you can make this bottle last you longer. The capsules are easy to swallow, It seems to be good quality Acetyl L-Carnitine, performs for me about the same as my preferred brand, so, I have no complaints and now I know of another brand I can go to for Acetyl L-Carnitine.
