    very fine powder, great for filling capsules or adding to tea or coffee

    The powder can be used in beverages, or be used to fill capsules. It is a very fine powder that mixes in with liquids, but doesn't dissolve, so there is sediment if the beverage sits. I found if stays mixed in drinks better if they contain cream or milk. The powder does stir in nicely, so eve if there is some settling, a few swirls of the cup is usually enough to get it mixed in again. There is a little bit of an earthy taste and what seems like some sweetness to it, but no strong or offensive flavor or aroma. If you're looking for an easy to consume wood ear mushroom product, this should be a great choice to consider. Mixed with ginger and turmeric powders in hot water with a little heavy cream, it makes a great way to start the day.

    Black Fungus from a brand I've grown to trust!

    I've been introduced to Bulk Supplements brand through Dropy and have had nothing but positive experiences with their products!To parallel my other purchases - this is another winner. This finely milled Black Fungus (a.k.a. Wood ear fungus) is a fantastic addition to my supplement regimen.For those of you who wonder, it is not BLACK...it actually resembles cocoa powder 😉The visual consistency of the powder and uniformity of color are sure indications of purity and careful processing.This is a wonderful supplement overall and is actually an EXTRACT of black fungus at a 30:1 ratio.Dosing is easy too, recommended at 500mg once daily, this is easily accomplished since a Size 00 capsule holds ~500mg when lightly loaded. I tested the consistency of the powder density by loading a full tray in my capsule loading machine and averaged 514mg over the sample batch of 24 capsules. Sounds good to me! Easy work, even though I have a very decent laboratory scale, it's not necessary when using this product as the milling/grain is very consistent.Here's to my overall immunity & gut health! Very happy to have this product in my stores of natural supplements, nootropics and aminos - also manufactured by Bulk Supplements.Good stuff, guys!

    Good quality product

    I can't honestly speak to the ultimate efficacy of using this product for health benefits, but I have been a Bulk Supplements customer for years and have always found their products consistently high quality and pure.     I am always looking for ways to increase my mushroom-based nutrient intake, so a simple powder to mix seemed like an ideal way to go. Turns out that this is pretty much that. The powder is extremely fine and easy to mix making it perfect for mixing in water, your favorite beverage, or maybe even sprinkling on your food.Additionally, while mixing about 1g (2 servings) with water, I was expecting the flavor to be strong and unpleasant, but it was actually very subtle and easy to drink, which can make it an easy addition to your beverage or snack/food item of choice. With the bulk pack of 8.8 ounces, this is sure to last me for a while, which also makes it a solid value.
