    Wonderful Pure Zinc Oxide Powder

    I received the zinc oxide powder very quickly and it was well packaged. I like the sturdy foil protective packaging and the fact that it is resealable. The product itself is wonderful - fine, pure and white. It's very easy to work with. I've used it to make my own sunscreen blend by simply blending it with my regular moisturizer. This past weekend I tested it at an outdoor festival and it protected my skin all day during bright, sunny hot weather. Also, I have been adding a small amount to my mineral face makeup which helps it blend into my skin better while giving an extra boost of sunscreen protection. I am very pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

    I used this as a powder for my son who ...

    I used this as a powder for my son who has foot odor that clears a room. I was looking at a powder for foot odor and the main ingredient was zinc oxide- this was much more cost effective and I'm actually shocked at how well it worked after just one application. Yesterday after school he took off his sneakers and there was no smell, I actually got close to his feet and there was absolutely no smell at all. Unbelievable. I put an application of the powder on his feet just before bed, made sure it was on from his ankles down and in between toes. I've read to do this for 3 consecutive days and then touch up periodically as needed.

    Homemade sunscreen

    I've been making lotion at home for about a year and bough this to add to make my own sunscreen. It mixed very easily with my formula and has been working great. It's easy to get out of the package.Recipe:3 tbs shea butter or cocoa butter or combination thereof1 tbs almond oil1 tbs coconut oil1.5 tbs beaswax2tbs zinc oxideCombine all ingredients but zinc oxide into a ceramic or silicone bowl. Melt in a water bath - bowl placed in pot of low boiling water. Avoid getting water into ingredients. Add in essential oils of choice until fragrance is to your liking. Mix in zinc oxide until well combined. poor in tins or jars to cool. Altoid tins and deodorant tubes work fantastically well. This ratio is about 30spf. I usually triple it and can fill 4 deodorant tubes.

    Great for DIY sunscreen

    This is an excellent product and I have used it to make homemade sunscreen bars and lotions and foundation with SPF. The homemade sunscreens work well and the zinc sufficiently blocks the sun's rays for about two hours at a time. I feel better about rubbing DIY sunscreen on my kids. Another bonus: this bag will last forever! Each batch of sunscreen only requires 2-3 tablespoons of zinc oxide.
