What are HDMI wall plates used for?
HDMI wall plates are used to cleanly route and conceal audio and video cables behind your drywall. This provides a sleek, professional look for wall-mounted televisions, monitors, and projector setups without visible hanging wires.
What is the estimated length of the cable run inside your wall?
For optimal 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range performance, it is recommended to keep passive in-wall HDMI cable runs to a maximum length of 20 to 25 feet. Longer distances may require active cables or signal boosters to prevent data degradation.
Will you be running cables through drywall, brick, or concrete?
This product is specifically designed to fit standard low-voltage mounting brackets or cut-in rings, which are ideal for hollow drywall installations. Running cables through solid brick or concrete walls will require an appropriate surface-mount gang box.
