FAQs
Why is Molex to SATA bad?
Molex to SATA adapters have a bad reputation primarily due to poorly manufactured, injection-molded connectors that can short circuit. Cable Matters avoids this risk by utilizing high-quality crimped connectors and standard 18 AWG wiring, making them a safe and reliable choice for powering internal PC components.
What voltage does this Molex to SATA cable support?
This cable adapter supports 5V SATA drives and 12V ATX power supplies. Please note that it does not support 3.3V power requirements, which is typical for standard desktop internal hard drives and solid state drives.
Can I use this adapter cable to power desktop computer fans?
This specific adapter converts Molex to a 15-pin SATA female power connector, which is meant for hard drives and SSDs. If your computer cooling fans use a standard SATA power connection, this adapter can power them safely.
Are these Cable Matters computer power cables authentic imports available in India?
Yes, all Cable Matters products listed on Dropy India are authentic items sourced directly from authorized distributors in the USA. We ensure that Indian PC builders receive genuine international tech accessories with direct import verification.
Does the package include more than one power adapter cable?
