A must have if you're planning on surgery. In general these work enhanced than gauze which gets into the wounds making it harder to heal. Functions wonderful for stitches and post stitch wounds. They're comfortable, easy to apply and I've never had a problem with any packs. Keeps it agreeable and dry to allow healing to take place.
