Engineered from a lightweight, heavy-duty breathable mesh material, this belly guard shields vital areas from the chest all the way to the flank, providing targeted relief from midges, flies, gnats, and potential summer sores where horses experience the most discomfort.
This protective accessory is an exceptional addition to a standard fly sheet or for use during transitional weather seasons, effectively covering the sternum and navel. It is carefully shaped to offer comfortable coverage for geldings, stallions, and mares alike, ensuring essential protection for sensitive healing scars or minor injuries without any risk of heat accumulation.
Equipped with soft, adjustable straps, the guard delivers a securely customized fit that stays in place during stable rest or light activity, ensuring your horse remains cool, calm, and fully protected.
How to use
- Position the belly guard underneath your horse's belly, aligning the front section securely with the chest area and extending it toward the flank.
- Wrap the soft, integrated straps up around the horse's barrel.
- Fasten and adjust the straps to achieve a snug, secure fit that prevents slipping while ensuring enough clearance for comfort and movement.

FAQs
Is your horse an average Medium build?
Yes, this specific medium size is patterned to fit standard horse breeds with an average medium build. It is highly recommended to take accurate physical measurements of your horse's chest-to-flank area before purchasing to ensure a perfect, secure fit.
Do you need information on the matching Cashel Crusader Fly Sheet?
The Cashel Belly Guard is engineered to work flawlessly as an extension alongside the Cashel Crusader Fly Sheet. Combining both pieces provides full-body defense against insects, and the standard sheet helps keep the underbelly guard perfectly aligned and secure.
Can this guard be worn alone or does it require a full sheet?
While it can be worn independently in stable settings or during light activity thanks to its adjustable straps, it performs best when paired under a standard fly sheet. The outer sheet provides extra anchors to keep the mesh guard from slipping out of place.
