Agreeable Retro Radio
Glad I got this little radio, very happy with it. Considering the wire antenna just uses the end of the plug, I checked the ground side & yep, it's grounded, important for using other antennas. As an old school retired industrial/radio station engineer, I have superb respect for the Chinese engineers who designed this radio & figured out how to miniaturize & manufacture it. The speaker, small as it is, sounds ok for voice talk radio, terrible for music. AM band reception is good for local stations, but the internal ferrite antenna is too compact for DX. The display is tiny, I have to use reading glasses. I made an adapter, sma to 3.5 mm, so I could utilize antennas with sma cable. I favor the 3.5 mm antenna jack & the supplied wire antenna. The smallest radios 15-20 years ago with similar capabilities were much larger, dense & expensive.

Best little radio/MP3 player I've bought!
This is a fantastic radio. I have lots of radios of various prices and types and find this one ticks a lot of the boxes and the value is reasonable. No big deal though, because it can also take 2 D batteries as nicely. The dual antennas are not what they seem as they are wired together inside the case, but reception is fine as mentioned. Perfect amount of resistance. Aesthetically it is incredibly cool and has sort of a vintage field radio vibe. The radio sounds incredibly solid and has fine clarity. It won't rattle the windows, but has present bass. Great for camping and beach. The built in rechargeable battery is simply accessible and of a extremely common type, so upgrading is easy and eventual replacement due to age and wear is no difficulty. It gets remarkably loud without distorting. I live in an urban area with tons of FM stations and it pulls them in and retains great selectivity simultaneously. I use it when doing yard work or in the garage. AM reception is acceptable but not exceptional. Bluetooth pairs easily and seems to work without problems. The solar panels increase the run time when using the radio outside, but as it turns out charging up the battery any significant amount seems beyond their capabilities. Buttons and knobs all have a pleasant interface, particularly the tuning knob.

Fantastic purchase
At ten months aged, my twin grandsons actually tugged and pulled this away from each other. A marvelous, traditional toy that still entertains little ones. You will have to do the winding, it's much too stiff for little hands. I finally purchased another one and it is still the first article out of the toy box now that they are a year previous. But, oh, how sweet when they bring it to you to start the music.
