Description
The Century Spring SR C-520 Compression Spring pack provides dependable axial resistance and mechanical support for technical, industrial, and everyday repair applications. Constructed with high-tensile wire, these helical springs store energy efficient under compressive push forces, returning consistently to their original uncompressed length.
Featuring a standard 3/16 inch outside diameter, 7/8 inch overall length, and a delicate .016 inch wire diameter, they deliver uniform spring rates suited for precision mechanisms, electrical switches, fine tools, and machinery components. Designed for durability and smooth operation, this four-piece set ensures reliable mechanical performance for maintenance projects and specialized equipment assemblies.
How to use
- Identify the target assembly housing requiring compressive resistance.
- Insert the spring into the shaft, bore, or pin setup ensures linear movement.
- Verify proper alignment so the spring compresses smoothly without buckling or binding against adjacent parts.

FAQs
What is the price of a compression spring?
The price of a compression spring varies based on material quality, precision dimensions, wire gauge, and brand manufacturing standards. Multi-pack options often provide better value for maintenance and repair requirements.
How to size a compression spring?
To correctly size a compression spring, measure the outside diameter (OD), inside diameter (ID), wire gauge diameter, free length, and count the total number of active coils using a precision caliper.
What are the four main types of springs?
The four primary types of mechanical springs are compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, and constant force springs, each designed to absorb or store energy under different force direction forces.
Are these Century Spring mechanical components authentic USA imports?
Yes, Dropy imports genuine Century Spring hardware directly from verified USA distributors, offering guaranteed authentic products across India.
What is the compression ratio of a spring?
A compression spring's ratio refers to its deflection limits relative to its free length, determining how much distance the spring can compress before reaching its maximum solid height.
