FAQs
Are sisal cat scratchers good?
Yes, sisal is one of the best materials for cat scratchers because its tough, woven fibers provide excellent resistance for conditioning claws. It mimics natural tree bark, satisfies a cat's instinct to scratch, and lasts significantly longer than corrugated cardboard alternatives.
Is carpet or sisal better for cats?
Sisal is far superior to carpet for scratching. It has a rougher texture that shreds satisfyingly without catching or tearing a cat's nails, and it prevents your pet from developing a habit of scratching the actual carpeted floors in your home.
How long do sisal scratchers last?
A high-quality woven sisal scratcher can easily last anywhere from six months to several years depending on the number of cats using it and their scratching intensity. This model also features a replaceable mat design to further extend the life of the wooden frame.
