Product details
Description
The Chichiyang M42 Screw to FD Camera Lens Adapter Ring bridges the gap between classic vintage lenses and classic film bodies, allowing photography enthusiasts to mount universal M42 screw-thread lenses onto Canon FD mount cameras. Crafted from high-grade aluminum alloy with an anodized dark finish, this adapter ensures long-lasting durability and reliable everyday performance.
Because M42 lenses and FD optics possess different flange focal distances, the precise thickness of this adapter compensates for the variance, allowing proper infinity focusing and seamless mechanical integration. Designed for manual operation, it requires setting focus and aperture control directly on the lens via stop-down metering, making it an essential accessory for vintage camera hobbyists using bodies like the AE-1, A-1, F-1, T50, T90, and FTb.
Experience the unique optical character of older Praktica or Zenit lenses on your favorite vintage Canon film SLR setup.
How to use
- Turn off the camera before installing or uninstalling the adapter.
- Align the red marks on the outer and inner rings of the adapter with the red mark on your lens collar, then turn the outer ring clockwise until secure.
- Adjust focus and aperture manually on the lens.
