FAQs
What is a free motion presser foot?
A free motion presser foot hovers just above the fabric rather than clamping it down tightly, allowing you to move the fabric freely in any direction for quilting, darning, and embroidery.
Which sewing machines are compatible with part number 820988096?
This open toe presser foot is specifically designed to fit a wide range of low shank Pfaff sewing machine models, including various units from the Ambition, Passport, Select, Creative, and numbered series.
How does the open toe design help with quilting?
The open toe configuration removes visual obstructions around the needle area, making it much easier to track intricate designs, stippling lines, and detailed embroidery work accurately.
Are these imported sewing machine parts authentic when buying in India?
Yes, we confirm that this product is an authentic USA import. Dropy sources its inventory directly from the United States to ensure genuine quality for Indian customers.
Why does my thread keep breaking during free motion quilting?
Thread breakage often happens when fabric lifts with the needle. Using a spring-action foot like this model keeps fabric stable, and matching your needle size to your specialty thread will resolve tension issues.
