Remarkably fine.
I bought this to fade a fresh denim duvet cover for the spare bedroom. I have a front loading washer so working with regular liquid bleach to fade a large item favor a denim cover would be difficult and likely produce a incredibly uneven looking finished product. So, I was able to work with the powder stuff and the cover turned out fantastically. It faded evenly and comes across as fantastic.

This didn't work as well as I had hoped. It helped a tiny amount and despite the fact I repeated the process 3 times, I just did not notice a gigantic variation. That being said, it was remarkably easy to understand the directions and after reading about the process of bleaching wood, I realize it's not a magic bullet. They are quite 'orange' in their undertone and I wished for to make them lighter before sealing them. I was attempting to lighten some drawer faces I had sanded to raw wood. It makes a distinction- particularly if you drop the liquid once it's mixed together. It is also a solid value and a quart goes a long way. I think I might have chosen poorly, but the bag does say 'wood bleach' so I expected a little more. If you work with this, DO follow the directions and use the safety goggles and dense gloves. As for cleaning, it has been useful in getting some stains off our pool coping.
