Started using this following the very popular grit method for getting rid of subcutaneous filaments. As stated in the method i apply, allow it to sit on my skin for 20 minutes and then apply a clay mask and an oil cleanse.Using this protocol ive had pretty great success keeping my skin clear and smooth of those pesky little bumps. I also use retinal nightly which has helped a lot but i mention it to note if u are using retinal you should definitely take a day off to when using this product or you risk irritation and skin barrier problems. This is definitely gentler than salicylic acid while being comparatively as effective in my experience.Overall if you are looking to clear your skin of filaments, this definitely works.

This may sound strange, but I don't get blackheads. My pores are oily and congested, so most of my breakouts are whiteheads, or just small red bumps near the surface of my skin. Treatment (2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide)didn't appear to be working on its own, I started doing lots of research on acne products in hopes of finally getting my skin under control.First thing you should know, this product is a chemical exfoliant because it contains beta hydroxy acid (BHA). BHAs are good at getting deep into your pores and clearing out old sebum and dead skin. The most commonly known BHA is salicylic acid, which is found in most North American acne products (and has never worked for me when used on its own). I've been using the Acne.org benzyol peroxide gel on and off for years (another well-known brand is Paula's Choice). The gel has a lower level of benzoyl peroxide (2.5%) which means it is gentle enough to use on a daily basis. Overall it has worked at keeping my acne under control, however, a few months ago it stopped being as effective.I decided to combine the two products together since the BHA's clean deep within the pores and remove dead skin and sebum, while benzoyl peroxide kills acne causing bacteria. After the first day of trying this routine my acne had already begun to clear up and fade. Within a week my skin was noticeably clearer. After 8 weeks of consistent use my skin is almost totally clear. The biggest change I've notice is that my pores are less clogged and congested and do appear smaller. You can totally skip this part and just use a regular moisturizer, but I felt that it took my skin to the next level.So here is a breakdown of the skincare regime I've been using for the past 8 weeks as well as some of the products I have been using:Night1. Great product for reducing pores and smoothing skin. Even after 4 months of use (I'm barely half way through the bottle) I'm still seeing results.Initially I had some purging but after about two weeks it quit.How I Use it: I first wash my face with a PH 5.5 cleanser, apply this immediately, let it sit for 20 minutes to let it work. After 20 minutes I don't wash it off, I just apply the rest of my routine. I found not washing it off works best for me. If I apply a vitamin c serum before this, I find it never completely sinks in. If I use this on bare skin, in 20 minutes it will mostly absorb into my skin. Doesn't leave an oily residue or a heavy feeling, just a light layer.When I first started out I only used it every 2 days. After 2 weeks, when the purging stopped, I started using it every other day.
