Description
The Cotton Cordell Pencil Popper is a legendary topwater fishing lure engineered for anglers targeting aggressive freshwater and saltwater gamefish. Featuring an innovative weighted tail design, this bait sits vertically at rest and rockets exceptional casting distances even into strong headwinds.
When retrieved with rhythmic rod twitches, it creates an explosive walk-the-dog action complemented by a splashing, spitting cup face that mimics a struggling baitfish on the surface. Built tough to withstand violent strikes from striped bass, musky, redfish, and large bass, it is equipped with heavy-duty hardware and rust-resistant saltwater-grade treble hooks.
Whether you are surfcasting along the coast or working the surface of local lakes, this oversized topwater lure delivers the sound, vibration, and erratic motion required to elicit explosive strikes from trophy fish.
How to use
- Point your fishing rod tip down toward the water and use a steady sweeping motion or sharp wrist twitches while reeling at a slow, continuous pace to achieve the classic walk-the-dog surface action.
- Pause briefly or vary your cadence to trigger strikes when fish follow the lure.

High-impact synthetic polymer body, high carbon steel saltwater-grade treble hooks, internal weighted lead ballast system, corrosion-resistant split rings, UV-resistant reflective exterior finish.
