FAQs
Are triangular crayons better?
Yes, triangular crayons are highly recommended for young children and toddlers. Their three sided shape naturally encourages a proper tripod grip, which helps develop the fine motor skills required for early writing. Additionally, the flat edges prevent them from rolling off tables, keeping the creative space organized.
Why are crayons triangular?
Crayons are molded into a triangular shape to serve two main purposes: ergonomics and stability. The shape fits comfortably into small hands to teach proper finger placement, and it keeps the crayons stationary on flat or angled surfaces so they do not roll onto the floor.
How to keep crayons from rolling?
Using crayons that are specifically manufactured with flat, triangular sides is the easiest way to prevent them from rolling away. This design naturally keeps them securely in place on desks, tables, and trays during art sessions.
