FAQs
How do audio exciters work?
Audio exciters work by vibrating solid objects at high speeds, which modulates the air around them. This physical vibration is then decoded by the human brain as audible sound, effectively turning tables, walls, or panels into working speakers.
What kind of amplifier do I need for these sound exciters?
These exciters have an 8-ohm impedance and handle 5 watts RMS each. You will need a standard low-power audio amplifier or stereo receiver capable of driving an 8-ohm load to power them effectively.
Can I use these to build a hidden surround sound system?
Yes, their compact size and peel-and-stick mounting make them ideal for hiding behind walls, furniture, or panels so the sound source remains completely invisible.
Are these authentic USA-imported Dayton Audio products available in India?
Yes, this product is an authentic USA import. Dropy sources all items directly from the United States to ensure genuine quality for Indian customers.
What surfaces work best with these sound exciters?
Materials that vibrate easily and possess good rigidity, such as thin wood panels, glass, foam board, and acrylic plastic, provide the best frequency response and sound projection.
